Chapter 36

The next day, after talking with the Mistry man, Theo decided to create a routine. In the morning, sword training with Ty; in the afternoon, browse the library for any useful nuggets. This is how his days continued as the tutorial drew to a close. Theo, during this period of time, usually while he’s eating at the bar of the inn, quite a few people stopped by and asked him pointed questions, some better than the first man, knowing more information about soul-bound items and a few other things. But Theo kept up the act; it all came from the solo tutorial. In his mind, there was no reason to give up his secrets to strangers, and with that, the days passed, and it was finally the last day of the tutorial. Theo said goodbye to Ty and looked at his character sheet for the first time in many weeks.

“My Sword Mastery skill has come along nicely,” Theo thought.

Theo was standing at the end of his room, waiting for the countdown to the group tutorial. Theo was pulled through a portal again; he ended up back in the office where he was before he entered the solo tutorial. Which was in the pseudo-divine realm of Gehenna, Theo looked around, taking in the wooden desk and a leather chair. Pictures of landscapes hanging on the wall, dark brown rugs on the stone floor, and the fireplace radiated warmth throughout the room, creating a cozy ambiance. And hanging on the mantel of the fireplace was a decorative sword.

“How come I’m here?” Theo asked.

This story originates from a different website. Ensure the author gets the support they deserve by reading it there.

“I talked to the system, and there is no point in having you in a temporary dimension just for rewards when I can provide a better place,” Gehenna said smugly.

  “Fair enough,” Theo said.

At that moment, another portal opened, and a white mannequin walked out.

“Good to see you again, Theo,” the system said.

  “Likewise,” Theo replied.

“Now, first off, let’s get these messages out of the way.” The system said,

Congratulations on finishing the solo and group tutorial. Your final point total is 1,000,000,000.

“That is a shit ton of points,” Theo said.

“Yes indeed, a lot of it was earned on the efficiency of killing Tim and dealing with his enthralled and actually helping them out,” the system said.

Theo mentally dismissed the notification, and another took its place, but this time it looked like the Galaxy Trade Store. The difference was that the top of the notification said "System Store," and everything that he could see on the list used points instead of currency.

“I cannot guide you in what you get, but for Gehenna, since you are bonded, you too can discuss the items in the store,” the system said.

Theo saw tabs such as weapons, armor, utility, consumables, skill books, and more, but one popped up that he was pretty sure was unique to his circumstance: "genius locorum" was the tab name.

Theo opened it up, and he could feel Gehenna’s presence staring over his shoulder, mentally drooling.

“Wait, you can see my notifications,” Theo asked.

“Of course, we are bonded,” Gehenna replied.

In the tab for genius locorum, he saw items such as divine-grade soil, minerals of all types, from common to pseudo-divine, pseudo-divine water, and, for metals, Theo recognized some he was familiar with, like steel, aluminum, and gold. Still, there were some he was not familiar with, like adamantine, mithril, orichalcum. They weren’t the material themselves; clicking on the one he knew, the description read:

Steel seed: When used in the creation of planetoids, it randomly generates one steel vein; the vein size will vary from seed to seed.

Theo checked the ones for water, dirt, and other elements. It basically gave a similar description.

Gehenna's perception—Theo felt it get off the notification and landed on the system, who held a cup of tea and was sipping it. Theo had no idea when or how it had done that. In a robotic voice, the system said,

“I already told you, I had an idea, and all these things have been forgotten or lost that I picked up in the multiverse, and I know that with the wealth you have been hoarding for a very long time, it will be easy for your Warden to get anything he wants. So I figured that I would help you by getting some unique or impossible items that you cannot get anywhere else,” the system said.

“Aha, and what about what you just said earlier about not influencing my decisions?” Theo said.

“I am not influencing your decisions, Theo. I was simply telling Gehenna my decision of adding that tab, and if you overheard, well, that’s on you,” the system said.

“I’m not going to say no to helping you, Gehenna, but I am curious what benefits these items will get you and how they differ from getting them from, let’s say, the Galaxy Trade Store or anywhere else in the multiverse,” Theo asked.

“The benefit is the potential these materials will provide. I can only create a planetoid as large as Jupiter in your solar system as a pseudo-divine being. Still, the materials I place in pseudo-divine grade will be used when I reach godhood and will serve as the catalyst to create my universe. The better materials I use in the planetoid will give me a better starting point when I attain godhood.” And you could get resource seeds from the Galaxy Trade Store. But just for common grade resource seeds is ridiculous, to get pseudo-divine or Divine grade resource seeds is impossible,” Gehenna said.

That’s easy enough to check,” as Theo said as he summoned the Galaxy Trade Store tablet,

Theo searched for resource seeds and saw that the cheapest common-grade option was hundreds of thousands of mithril coins. And there was nothing higher than rare grade resource seeds, and those were in karma orbs. Going back to open the notification again, he saw that all the divine seeds were worth 10,000 points each.

  “Pretty cheap,” Theo said.

The system did nothing but still sipped its tea.

Gehenna caught on and said the same thing, “Pretty cheap,” directed towards the system.

“As I said before, I just pick these things up that were forgotten by time or other factors, so Gehenna, the cost of obtaining these items was relatively low,” the system said.

Theo bought many of the resource seeds at Gehenna's direction, along with the seeds for mithril and orichalcum to create a molten core for Gehenna's planet.

Going through the list, Theo saw that there was a staff of specters like the Host that was in his solo tutorial. There is a seneschal, a head Butler, and a head maid, with their staff, a librarian, and a chef with kitchen staff, for 100,000 points.

Theo clicked on it for more information because he felt the deal was pretty one-sided.

Spectral staff: this collection of spirits has worked together for countless centuries. Their contracts usually last for hundreds to thousands of years because they serve high-ranking individuals, such as A-grade and pseudo-divine beings. Due to an issue between the spectral staff and their former client, their contract was sold to the system. If you wish to contract with them, please read through and sign the contract.

“Hey Gehenna, would it even be worth it to have a staff like that?” Theo asked.

Gehenna replied with a mental shrug.

Then Theo remembered the vision of the library that Gehenna had sent him a long time ago, which showed just stacks of books on the floor. With that thought, he read through the contract. It was in plain terms that he could understand: don’t harass the staff in any way, and other common-sense items were on the contract as well. Theo did raise an eyebrow at one saying no experiments on the staff, and this contract was only for 100 years. After that, renegotiate for a longer time frame. There was also a note that these specters will not divulge any secrets of their clients. During or after the contract, Theo finished it and mentally wrote his name at the bottom, where there was an open line.

With that, the points were deducted, and he continued looking through the system store. Theo went through all the other tabs, and nothing really grabbed his attention. Theo had good weapons, including the four chains and a cane sword. He looked through the skill books and didn’t see anything that caught his eye at the moment. Some seemed helpful, but nothing he thought he needed. There were a lot more skill books for combat, but, especially given his training with Ty, he knew that just using the skill book gives you knowledge, but not the muscle memory. With the fire he obtained from Gehenna, Theo believes he has enough firepower right now, but it’s on the other side of his class of Battle Healer that he was lacking. He picked all the skill books he could on healing because that’s what he lacked—knowledge, especially when it comes to other races. There were skill books on healing that ranged from 100 points to 100,000. Since a lot of Theo’s points went to Gehenna and buying all the resources it needed to build a giant planetoid, he was only able to buy one of the healing books at that price range of 100,000. But that was basically almost all he needed. The name of the title was "The Complete Guide to the Biology of All Known Races in the Multi-Verse." He happily bought that one and several skill books on the different healing skills and methods of the multiverse, and with that, he was done with the system store. He mentally dismissed the notification.

“Now it is time for my offer,” the system said.
