Chapter 10.5: The Weaver’s Eyes

[Section I: Vocabury of the Deep]

The Sight of the Script (The Threads): This is a high-level sensory evolution. Zany is no longer observing physical matter; he is seeing the Tethers of Fate. In the God World, every mortal is "programmed" with a path. These strings are the visual representation of that code.

Gold Threads: Indicate a strong, healthy connection to the living world (family, love, destiny).

Grey/Frayed Threads: Indicate a soul nearing the end of its "Was," or a soul the Script is starting to lose interest in.

The Bnk Page: Because Zany exists as a Mediator, he has no string. He is an "unwritten" entity. To the standard Laws of Fate, he is invisible, but to the Auditors and Hunters, he is a gring neon sign—a hole in the universe that shouldn't exist.

Temporal Sludge: When a Hunter enters a human area, they "pause" the local script to prevent colteral damage to the tapestry. This is why the tourists in Naples froze. To the humans, no time will have passed. To Zany and Hades, they are now fighting in a "pocket" of frozen time.

[Section II: Character Encyclopedia — The Ancient Weavers]

Hades mentions the Nornir and the Moirai. These are the "Original Architects" of the Script. To see what they see is to step into the realm of the Creators.

The Moirai (The Fates - Greek): Three sisters—Clotho (the Spinner), Lachesis (the Allotter), and Atropos (the Inflexible).

Historical Feat: They are the only entities in Greek myth that even Zeus, the King of Gods, feared. They determined the death of the hero Meleager by burning a log tied to his lifespan and ensured that even the mighty Achilles could not escape his heel-bound destiny.

The Nornir (The Norns - Norse): Urer (Past), Vereandi (Present), and Skuld (Future).

Historical Feat: They sit at the Well of Urer beneath the World Tree, Yggdrasil. They are the ones who carved the runes that govern the lives of all beings. Even Odin, the All-Father, sacrificed his eye and hung himself from the tree just to catch a glimpse of the wisdom they guard.

[Section III: The Hunter & The Prey]

  The Hunter [Css: Orion-Type]:

Historical Context: In myth, Orion was the "Giant Hunter" so skilled that he threatened to kill every beast on Earth. He was eventually pced in the stars, forever chasing the Pleiades. In the God World, an "Orion-Type" is a specialized predator designed to track anomalies across dimensions.

The Celestial Leopard Pelt: A garment made from a creature that exists in the "Between." It allows the Hunter to move through shadows as if they were solid ground.

The Bone Bow: A weapon that targets the String rather than the flesh. It is designed to "disconnect" a soul from reality.

Pavor (The God of Panic - Roman):

Historical Feat: Pavor was the son of Mars (God of War). In Roman history, commanders would often sacrifice to Pavor before a battle to ensure the enemy army would break rank and flee in irrational terror. He is the reason "Panic" can turn a winning army into a sughtered mob.

Current Status: In the presence of a Hunter, Pavor’s authority over fear is useless. He has been reduced from a predator of humans to a "Vibrating Error"—bait used to draw out Zany.

  [Section IV: The Price Update]

Sensory Void (The Rain): Zany has lost the texture of his past. He retains the intellectual knowledge (the fact that rain exists), but the sensory "Was" (the smell, the cool touch) has been deleted to pay for Leo’s new life. This is the first stage of the Mediator's transition from a human being into a fundamental force.
