Chapter 7: The Caravan (1)

It was a desolate place filled with fire. I looked everywhere and all that I could see was fire and there was some noise and what I saw was something that I could never forget. It was a place I could never forget, it was a place that was etched in my memory. Suddenly, it started that I had never wanted to see it again but it happened. A high pitch sound began the onset of the cry. It was a heart rendering sound that could kill millions of people. It was a supersonic sound pitch and it happened, there was the sound of clashes of swords and other things. It was an imitation of these things one by one. Suddenly I saw lights and portals opening everywhere they had started to descend.

“ Dehel, Dehel.” There were voices calling my name. I positioned myself to fight but my hand was injured so I made the obvious thing to do. I ran for my life. There was fire everywhere and voices were approaching me. I had to run and find a place to hide but there was no place. The only thing that was there was fire. I looked over my shoulder and there were pits of fire. I looked inside a flame and I was horrified to see what was inside. It was my face and it was my face. It was a nightmare. More and more fires abrupted and the only thing that came to my mind was that they were coming for me. They were coming for me, they were coming. I had to run but where. Suddenly, the earth sank and what I saw was what made my heart sink. It was him.

“ You will pay for what you did.” l ran toward the man who I saw. I grabbed him by his shirt but suddenly the voices had caught up with me and the next second, I was back in the place that was most familiar to me.

I opened my eyes and saw that I was back in my place and Ellaya was standing in front of my bed. It took me a second to adjust for my brain to function properly as I had come from the nightmare land. It was like I had been running fast and something had hit me from the back pretty hard causing my feet to slip and fall. I had to get these things out of my system and had to look at the person in front of me. I tried to focus but it felt like my body was giving way. I was trapped in a subconscious zone of my mind and again I fell asleep.

This time the vision was different and it was something that I had known for the longest time. I was at sea where I was fighting the named kraken. The strongest Deprave that I had to face and who I never wanted to face in my life. It was an advance that I had fought before I found Ellaya. I was in full body armor but when I was about to face it, I was dragged into another dream and this l saw Ellaya, she was calling my name but I could not move. Suddenly, the water swallowed me and I woke up from my nightmare.

The moment l came back to the conscious world, l was drenched in sweat and Ellaya was fully packed up like she was going somewhere. I looked at my own clothes and felt that I was clenching the sheet of my bed. It dawned upon me that I had been pulling the sheets while Ellaya had been trying to wake me up. I was about to wake up when my Deprave mark started to tingle. I felt the back of my shoulder and felt the mark. It was not a big deal and I felt that it was not a big deal. I tried to forget it and try to give my full attention back to the little queen.

“ Yes, princess. What do you want?” I called out to my beloved girl. I asked very politely, at the very least, I tried to do it.

“ Stop calling me that idiot. Have you looked at the time.”

It was only seven in the morning so I did not think about what was important. It was still something I did not understand why she had woken me up so early in the morning. I had been working late yesterday in the work room for the new poison dart spray that I had been working on, so I tried to ask calmly about what was the big deal.

“ It is still too early. Why did you wake me up so early in the morning?”

“ It is today so you are not going to pack up your stuff.” Ellaya happily said.

“ What is so special about today?” I said trying to stop me from falling back into the dreamland. I do not know what dream I had. It was believed that dreams had certain powers and other stuff. I had no interest in things like fortune telling and astrology. These things were just fairy tales made to keep the people to believe in their deities. In the mesopotamian sector, there were many people that made such big deals and worked as the propagator of their preaching and what not. I did not take part in such things because such things meant not much to me. I considered such things a sub sector of the hocus pocus group despite believing in the deity of my sector. The factions called their deities but many different names and the sector that I belonged to the Abrahimic beliefs. It was the last one and proclaimed the teaching of one deity. Some of its followers were bad and some were good like the rest of the world. The general name of this sector were proud of their beliefs and there were many hypocrites among them so I remained away from such conflicts cause l did not want any part in it. By the way, this faction was rich and I belonged to this sector so I did not want to badmouth about it but some of its individuals were crazy.
