The system was floating in front of him waiting for some kind of response. Kai took a deep breath. "Alright… let’s see those new zones," he finally said as he opened the map.

  What if I don’t? I just want to look at the map, Kai thought, shrugging.

  [Do it, it is urgent]

  Alright, alright. I hope this is as interesting as the new world zones, he thought, bringing a hand to his chin.

  Kai headed toward the tree, walking slowly as if the world was never going to end.

  "Well, now goddess what do you want me to see," Kai murmured while looking around to see if anything changed.

  Out of nowhere it appeared. It was a child with cat ears just like Nyara. Golden hair and a whitish Greek outfit, but there was a different detail. He had wings and they were white, coming out from his back.

  "What are you, are you here on behalf of Nyara?" Kai asked without taking his eyes off the child.

  The child took a step forward, raised his hand leaving only one finger up. "You are correct, I come on behalf of the great goddess Nyara," he said, moving his ears slightly.

  So eloquent… Wait, if Ivark, Kat or Sira see him they will ask questions? Kai thought, bringing a hand to his head as he moved closer to the child. "Hide, they are going to see you," he murmured in a low voice.

  The angel child gave a smile and then a small ugh. "Do not worry, I pced an illusion spell. If they see you they will only see a very thoughtful Kai and not a worried one."

  Kai nodded. "I understand. Well since we are already here, what is your name and why are you here instead of Nyara," Kai said while looking him up and down.

  The angel child pointed at himself. "My name is Sael, subordinate and right hand of the great goddess Nyara." He then pointed at Kai with a slight smile. "I am here instead of the goddess Nyara because she has too much power and therefore it is not compatible for her to descend here. That answers your question, Pyer," Sael said while staring directly into his eyes.

  Pyer? Kai frowned slightly as his gaze stopped at the child’s wings. "Am I a pyer? Is this a game or another world?" he said while shifting his weight onto his back leg.

  Sael tilted his head slightly while adjusting one of his wings against his back. "It is another world. You truly died, you were only given another opportunity to continue living and in this case you are very lucky," he said while raising two fingers in the air.

  Kai let the air escape through his nose as he crossed his arms over his chest. "Lucky?" he said while narrowing his eyes.

  Sael nodded slowly as his ears moved back. "Very lucky. In fact there was a small inconvenience with your growth," he said while extending his hand toward the floating system.

  Inconvenience? Kai felt how his fingers stopped moving. "Speak clearly," he said while slightly tilting his chin.

  Sael traced a small circle in the air with his finger and the system reacted immediately. "[Error detected: Pyer Kai was receiving standard base growth experience]," he read out loud while moving one of his wings slightly.

  Kai clenched his jaw as his gaze dropped to the panel. "Base?" he said while resting his hand on the club.

  Sael nodded once more while joining his hands in front of him. "You were leveling up like a normal pyer instead of one with accelerated growth assigned by the goddess Nyara," he said while briefly gncing at the sky.

  Kai remained silent while evaluating the child’s words. "How much did I lose?" he asked while his fingers tightened around the weapon.

  Sael raised three fingers while moving his ears slightly. "A lot," he said as the system began emitting a series of sounds.

  Kai took half a step back while watching multiple windows begin to open in front of him.

  Kai felt his breathing stop for a second as the notifications kept appearing.

  Kai narrowed his eyes as the next lines appeared.

  Sael observed the process while bringing a hand to his chin. "I must admit Nyara made a rather basic mistake," he said with a small ugh.

  Kai slowly turned his head toward him. "Mistake?" he said while his gaze hardened.

  Sael nodded while raising one of his wings. "She is a beginner goddess after all. She is still learning how to assign blessings correctly," he said while extending his hand toward the system.

  [System][I am listening to you Sael!]

  Sael went silent for a second as his ears moved back. "Oh," he said while lowering his hand slowly.

  A new line appeared.

  [System][We will talk when you return!]

  Kai let the air escape through his nose as he shifted his weight to the other leg.

  Sael coughed softly while adjusting his wings. "Well… as I was saying, basic beginner mistakes," he said while looking away.

  Kai narrowed his eyes while observing the child. "When did she create you?" he asked while slightly tilting his chin.

  Sael raised one finger with a smile. "Yesterday," he said while moving his ears slightly.

  Kai remained still while processing the answer.

  Yesterday.

  Sael took a step back as his silhouette began to turn slightly blurry. "I was created specifically for this task," he said while extending both hands.

  Kai adjusted his grip on the club. "Is that all?" he asked while evaluating the distance between them.

  Sael nodded as his wings began to fade. "Well my job here is done," he said as his body began disappearing from the feet upward.

  Kai watched without looking away as the child’s figure dissolved in front of him.

  Within seconds he was gone.

  Kai lowered his gaze to the panel as his fingers slowly began to move again.

  He exhaled slowly as he closed the panel with a gesture.
