Chapter 33: Battle between gods (II)
Four clones are locked and limited, their movements have been halted to even move an inch. After that reveal, the other four gods dash to the clones and slash them. Each fades away with remnants fluttering in the air, the clones are bisected brutally. Because of the obligations and execution, the imperial five gods have no choice but to choose brute force.
Doppelg?nger: “So this is your dexterity. I might get in trouble, am I?”
The doppelg?nger observed the whole scene, he was fascinated by the dexterity of the god’s ability. This must be the god’s authority that enables him to lock someone or something to become useless and obscene in moving. Thus, it’s a hack that, if getting hit, would be a game over. Except, if the opponent is powerful enough to break through, then that’s a different story.
God #1: “I’m coming for thee, be prepared.”
Doppelg?nger: “...”
The god who launched the authority switches to the main objective, which is the doppelg?nger. He flew with a speed that could outlash anyone’s ordinary eyes, if to be more accurate, ordinary people see that more like a sudden displacement. The doppelg?nger keeps a casual face; he waits for the attack. The katana in his left hand loosens, he’s acting just like Jastine.
God #1: “Lock!”
A black lock displays above the doppelg?nger’s head, there’s an open passage for a key to get penetrated. Then, a black chain moves around circularly from the bottom to the top, and the sharp point of the chain penetrates into the passage. The sharp point of the chain makes a counterfeit action of a key, the sharp point twists.
The sound of locking busts out.
Doppelg?nger: “So this is the effect, I’ve been lessened in vigor.”
The doppelg?nger feels the effect of the authority, the reduction in strength must be reluctant, so that the doppelg?nger implies that out. Showing no empathy, the god cold-heartedly aims for the doppelg?nger’s life and ultimately wants to crush it to smithereens. However, the doppelg?nger’s strength isn’t only that, his feats are shown with proof owing to the abundant royal guards’ corpses right below. With that, the next thing he does is just counter somehow.
Doppelg?nger: “With half of my strength taken...simply no difference whatsoever.”
God #1: “What?”
The table has flipped. When the god launches the authority, it would be a game over for the individual. However, the reaction of the doppelg?nger shows that he has a higher standpoint, and he uses that standpoint to illustrate the boundary between him and the god.
Doppelg?nger: “The half you take is simply just a half. You tried to extract my soul, but my soul’s limitless!”

The doppelg?nger explained the reason for the outbreak of the god’s locking authority. The reason was simply the difference in origin, potential, and talent. Or, it’s a curse that he has to use it for compulsory reasons.
Doppelg?nger: “If you manage to extract my soul. The empty valve simply refills itself! Soul is very important, even if you have the authority to change fate or limit someone’s cognitive skills, soul would be the crucial thing eventually to determine the outcome! Hahaha.”
God #1: “Tch!”
Doppelg?nger: “Yes! I can feel the flow of incorporeal energy within me! Hmm, you don’t even have a chance at first! This demonstration is the response to all of your stubbornness! But hey! Atomic manipulation is my authority, right? It needs to absorb magic particle energy, doesn’t it? My soul is always regenerating itself when taken or shattered, it always regenerates, and...”
The doppelg?nger stops the rhythm, and he continues to make a higher impact.
Doppelg?nger: “You see the sarcasm? That’s what I am! Positive and negative. Yin and yang. Input and output. Amusing, isn’t it?”
God #1: “Wh...what are thee even trying to convey? I cannot understand anything! You’re...crazy and insane!”
Doppelg?nger: “I am spitting out my thoughts that’ve been rambling in my head. You don’t need to understand because...the end of you has come.”
God #1: “No! I have to test it out!”
The god rushes to the doppelg?nger, and he concentrates magic particle energy into his left palm. Then, he shot the yellow purple beam toward the doppelg?nger without hesitation.
God #1: “Die! Give back our pride, traitor!”
Doppelg?nger: “Are thee sure? Aren’t we gods supposed to be calm under such situations?”
God #1: “So!? Your lack of humbleness isn’t even our morality!”
Doppelg?nger: “...”
Even if the god has the upper hand in objection, the god’s strength couldn’t indemnify the lack of persuasion, meaning that the god’s attack has been neutralized. The doppelg?nger deflects the beam, and the beam bounces back to its owner. The god was pushed back and got himself a scar on the abdomen, crimson blood poured out from the wound.
Doppelg?nger: “...”
God #1: “Father, what’ve thee done!? What is thy vision in investing him!? I cannot understand! Just why!”
The god crashes out, his ability was debunked. It’s pointless if he tries to attack the doppelg?nger, because what has been shown simply has put a mark of strength between the god and the doppelg?nger.
Doppelg?nger: “An undesired authority, a vulgar and despicable myself, shouldn’t even exist.”
God #1: “...”
Doppelg?nger: “And for that reason, I have to put an end to everything. I’ve decided to create a world where there are no lies when I inherit such abilities. Before that, I have to get rid all of you.”
With assertion, the doppelg?nger declares the final battle with the gods. The god who got assaulted showed a bitter expression. The god would think of ways to stop the traitor. The traitor, who is the doppelg?nger, witnessed things that led him to devote himself to recreating another world where everything is in accordance with his concepts and imagination. And to materialize his ideas, he has to get rid of all the obstacles.
Doppelg?nger: “If thou really think about it, then thee could understand what this henchman really means.”
God #1: “...”
The other four gods: “We can’t accept it.”
Gathering in flocks, the four gods break the easy atmosphere. That’s right. Even if the doppelg?nger defeats one god, there are still four he needs to eliminate.
God #2: “That’s enough, don’t listen to that traitor. We need you to get back in shape.”
Forgot to mention, the four gods wear a white outfit with golden threads and a long white cloak covering their heels. There’s a purple crystal attached to the middle of their chest. They look almost similar, this could be the result of having very long intimacies, or they’re sons of someone, who is the father of the gods, I assume.
God #2: “This must be father’s vision for this very moment. If we cannot use our authorities, then we just need to hurt him physically.”
God #1: “Isn’t it too much for an individual to possess such abilities? Why didn’t father make us similar?”
God #4: “We can’t know what father’s really thinking, and we’ll never be able to.”
God #3: “It must correlate with the reason why father wants us to eliminate him and take back the authortities.”
God #1: “Father must’ve foreseen something ominous.”
The five gods accumulated each other, they were conversing and scrutinizing the meaning behind all of this. But whether they could beat the doppelganger is still a mystery. Their conversation about the topic, “soul”, tells me more about the mechanics of it. When implanting authority upon someone or something, their soul would be shivered and taken damage from the authority’s incursion. But the doppelg?nger’s soul is defined as a regeneration itself. When it’s impure, it can purify itself.
Thus, if they want to cast authorities on the doppelg?nger, then they must repeatedly do it until the regeneration is overloaded. That’s a solution I came up with myself, but it’s vague and unclear whether it could bypass his superior regeneration.
The five gods' duty is clear; they will have to slaughter the doppelg?nger, who is once in holiness. Right now, they would have to come up with tactics to get a better position, in which it's called “plan”. A good plan has a high chance of success, so their plan unquestionably focuses on every possible way to get that position.
The battle between gods and the doppelg?nger continues.
