The helicopter was landing and Jenny was ready. She was already inside of her greenies and she knew the plan.
Daddy was going to sneak into the FBI base and find a way to stop the bad guys. Jenny’s job was to stay in the fanny pack with Mommy and keep her safe if Daddy had to leave them somewhere.
When they got to the base, Jenny and Mommy would stay with Miss Holly, so Daddy could sneak around better. Mister Higgins would keep Jenny’s body safe while they were on the mission. It was perfect. Jenny felt like a super hero spy.
“Are you ready?” Daddy thought to her.
“I’m ready,” Jenny thought back as she squirmed with excitement. Right now, she was transformed into a rhinoceros beetle, since they were super tough. She was holding onto the jar with Mommy in it. She was still a ladybug for now, but hopefully she would change back to her smart self soon.

Daddy tensed from where they were hiding in the bushes. She could feel his determination and anger.
The fanny pack jerked and Jenny held on tight as Daddy made his move and latched onto the helicopter. She could see bits and pieces from peeking out of the zipper opening, but it was too zipped up to see much.
“We’re on,” Daddy thought to her, “You okay?”
Jenny nodded, then realized he couldn’t see her, so she thought back, “I’m okay. Mommy seems okay too.”
The helicopter’s blades were super noisy and they never turned off. It was good that they made it onto the helicopter when they did because it took off way faster than she thought it would.
Jenny was excited to go flying for the first time in her life, but after a few hours, the whole thing was really boring. Being a super hero was lots of fun, but Jenny was mature. She liked to think raising her own dad gave her the wisdom of a parent and that wisdom helped her to know there were moments of scariness and boring stuff and that was part of the job.
“Are we there yet?” Jenny thought to her daddy for the umpteenth time and hoped for a different answer.
She could feel a small pang of irritation as daddy answered back, “No.”
Daddy seemed grumpy from boredom, so Jenny decided she would try and wait more than five minutes before asking again.
