A New Way Of Living

If I would have known working with Merfolk was going to be that exhausting I wouldn't have been so eager to help. Yes. I had been bored and itching for something to do but this was getting out of hand. I'm glad to be finally finished. Elarion is easy to work with. She is a Master Caster herself although she hasn't told another soul. Not even Alpha Jackson knows. I know the other Masters that are here know. Masters are able to sense one another. I was shocked to find out that 4 Masters had been adopted by the Dracul family. That is the reason I decided to stop traveling searching for a family to take me in. I figured if they accepted 4 Masters as family members, what would taking in one more be? Elarion told me that all of the Dracul children had started calling her Grandma. She said even King Vlad asked her if he could call her Mama. We both agree this is the nicest pack we ever visited and neither of us thought we would ever find a home much less a home with one of the top Royal families. As Elarion and talk about our travels, Ashura, Nome, Thoran and Tanchi ask if they could join us. Thoran tells us he really loves the lava and ice lake combination we had made. One of my finest works If I do say so myself. I tell them it took 3 full months of listening to Ember, Andorra and Fendorra giving detailed instructions. Ashura pats my shoulder and tells me, at least you weren't dragged off shopping with them. Was it that bad I asked him. Worse, he replied with a chuckle. Thoran just groaned. Tanchi tells them they just picked the wrong adopted parents. I asked Tanchi what he meant by that. He looked me dead in the eye and said, Their dad and mom made them go shopping with them and the merfolk. My dad doesn't like shopping so he told his kids we didn't have to go if we didn't want to go. He wasn't going to make us go shopping. He said he got to stay home and train his youngest siblings and cousins and laughed.
Nome asked whose idea it was to combine the fire and ice. I told her it was actually mine, because having one lake made the elements easier to blend. The lake is wide and deep. So the west side is where I decided the volcano should be. I used the mountain as the volcano and turned the water into lava. The East side had more of a glacier feel. I used part of the mountain and made it snow capped and added icebergs and other ice elements. In the middle of the lake is a swimming area for everyone. It's spelled so no one will freeze or burn. It's more or less a neutral divider. Both sides have exactly what the Merfolk required and ALL OF THE EXTRAS that they requested I say with an eye roll. Elarion shakes her head and says it was very taxing on us. Just looking now at what we had accomplished. It is amazing. It is very amazing, Ashura said to us both.
Thoran known for his short conversations said, so have you given any thought on joining our family? Dad and we want to adopt you, Elarion, to be his mother and our grandmother. I won't mix words but it will mean you will be a great grandmother as well. Pryce. You have a choice since Dad and us and Jack and his family both want to adopt you.
Elarion said she would be delighted to be our grandmother and great grandmother. Myself being a Fairy it would make sense for me to be adopted by King Vlad but I want younger siblings.
Thoran cuts my thoughts, saying if we want we can have the ceremony after a family meeting right now to discuss things more thoroughly and have any questions answered. Elarion and jump up as say in unison. What are we waiting for, let's go!
At the home of King Vlad and Queen Justina, Nome leads us through a labyrinth of halls. We enter a large dome-like room. All of the Dracul family was sitting at a large round table, even the little children.

Little Vlad stands and tells us the family rules and even though Xenia and Velma haven't had an official mating ceremony, they are still family Dr. King and Natalie are here as well to be adopted into Pop Pop and Lolly's family.
I see Killian, who is sitting next to Geneva, prick his finger and drop blood into her glass of ice water. Johanna is sitting next to Little Vlad and she pricks her finger and drops blood into his glass as well.
Luna Dianna explains to us about Geneva and Little Vlad. She also tells us that the people behind our kidnappings and torture is her own parents and brother. She says that wanting to adopt us has nothing to do with what her estranged family has done. They want to grow their family but that we will also be working together as one unit to stop what is happening and also training every family member. Hey I'm good with that. I thought to myself. As the rest of the family rules are laid out, the questions I wanted to ask have been answered by every family member before I have a chance to ask them. I made up my mind that I want to be adopted by Dianna and Jackson. Now my chosen new mother and father. After the ceremonies were finished we had a family feast. Everyone's favorite dishes were brought out. I'm so full. I think I'm going to burst.
Little Vlad says I can bunk with him until a room is prepared for me tomorrow. I agree. Brenton asked if we can have a family conference tomorrow because he has something he wants to discuss with all of us. He says he knows him and the children have school and training and asks if it can be done afterwards. Jackson says he doesn't have any issues with it and looks forward to bringing everyone up to speed on what we have been planning.
After dinner. I helped clear the table and hand washed the dishes that wouldn't go in the dishwasher along with Tanchi, Thoran, and Ashura.
Geneva came in and asked Tanchi and I to watch a movie with them. Tanchi nodded and picked her up, tossed her in the air and hugged her. I told her I would love to watch a movie with Little Vlad. She gives me a look and says ok, Tan and Resse are my favorite brothers anyway. Ashura laughs and tells me, Eve is not someone you want to make an enemy. Thoran laughs and says, You have no clue what she can do to you new nephew. Lolly came in and asked what we were talking about. Tanchi tells her what had just happened. She looks at me and says, if she didn't know you were joking with her, she would had put you in a sink hole or turned you into a statue, Thoran cuts in and says or pin you to wall and play pin the tail on the uncle, in your case pin the tail on the brother. Laughing as he was talking.
Ashura says why don't you sit in on their classes and training so you can see what they have learned already. It will help you decide how to train them yourself. I ask him what time school starts. He tells me it starts right after breakfast at 6:30 every day except Sundays unless they miss class for a few days then school starts Sunday at 10 am breaks for lunch and doesn't end until dinner. He tells me that has happened only 3 times so far. I tell him I look forward to sitting in and watching them. We all go to the living room and watch Arabian Nights with the kids. Killian sits beside G. Little Vlad sits beside Johanna and I'm in the middle behind them on the floor.
G starts to yawn and Killian stands up, takes her hand to help her up and holds her hand all the way upstairs. He comes back down around 30 minutes and says he tucked Nae in and read her a poem and she is now asleep. Dad and Mom thank him as he sits back down to finish the movie. After the movie everyone was yawning. I watched as Killian got up and headed to his room. Little Vlad took Jo's hands, pulled her up and walked behind her up the stairs. After we hear their doors shut, Lolly said, if those four aren't mates I will eat my hat. Pop Pop said, she doesn't have a hat, she shoots him a look and tells him she will go buy one. Mom asked Lolly when she wanted to go hat shopping. Dad rolled his eyes and said to Pop Pop, do you see what you started. Pop Pop laughed and said all I did was remind her she didn't have a hat. Grandma, who had been quiet all this time told Pop Pop and Dad that she is going shopping with them tomorrow and that needed to stop bickering and go to bed. Surprisingly they got up and went to bed, matter of fact we all got up and headed to bed. This is totally new to me. I could like this.
