  I was sat in the living room, mindlessly watching shit tv while waiting for Levi to come home, as I had given up on sleeping as I struggle to sleep more so when Levi was working, (it was 1 o'clock in the morning, so like not even that late considering it's been way later), when I heard the front door's key slot being turned, which I knew wasn't Levi as he wasn't due home for a couple hours yet.

  So naturally I grabbed Levi's old rounders bat, (no it wouldn't be classed as a weapon because the rounders ball was beside it in the basket, I made sure of that), I slowly go towards the light switch, as to not alert the intruder that I know that they were there.

  All the way to the light switch, my stomach was just in knots, while I could fight if I needed to, I hadn't had to fight in so long that I was afraid that I had forgotten how to, (plus ya know, I was pretty obviously pregnant at this point), so because I was scared as fuck, when I got to the switch, I switched that bitch so fast and then went to swing that bat until I saw Teddy's face.

  "Aunt Rebecca"

  "Jesus Fucking Christ Teddy!, how the fuck did you get here?!"

  "I didn't realise it was your house"

  "Teddy what the fuck do you mean you didn't realise it was my house?!"

  "I was trying to get into the garage to sleep in"

  "Yeah it's not really used as a garage- wait how long have you not been in London for?"

  "A week before the Easter holidays started, why were you sitting in the dark for?"

  "I had the Tv was on, Teddy do you realise how close you got to being swung at?!"

  "That's why you have the bat"

  Yeah that was the point where I realised that Teddy was beyond sleep deprived, (though that does make sense considering he had been hopping from house to house each night), he also suddenly looked older than the 12 years he was, (which was worrying, because ya know, he was 12 years old here).

  "When was the last time you properly slept?"

  "Do you mean in a proper bed or the proper 8 hours?"

  "(Sighs), Give me the answer to both, as the way you asked that makes it sound like it's 2 different answers"

  "I last slept in a proper bed the first night we went back to Mum's, which was about 3 months ago and I honestly couldn't tell you the last time I slept 8 hours"

  "Have a shower and I'll set you up a bed-"

  "I can sleep in the not garage-"

  There was no fucking way that I was letting Teddy sleep in my garage, as it was damp as fuck in there, (and I wasn't going to knowingly let him get sick from the dampness), I had a spare bed that he could sleep in, no it's not quite the same situation that I was in at his age as I knocked on Dad's door rather than breaking in to his fucking garage to sleep in it.

  "No fucking way are you sleeping in the garage, it's damp in there, I'll let social services know you're here in the morning"

  "Why?"

  "I can't knowingly let you hop garage to garage when social services are supposed to house you if you're not going to live at your mothers"

  "Can I wash my clothes before I shower?"

  "I'll wash all your clothes, don't worry about that"

  "What would I wear afterwards if you wash all my clothes?"

  "I'll give you something of Levi's to wear, go shower"

  "Thank you"

  "You're welcome"

  So I put the wash on and set up the bed, as you do, (I assume ye don't want the ins and outs of that), I then go make myself a cuppa as I knew that there was no way in hell that I was going to sleep at this point, I was so busy with making my cuppa that I didn't hear Levi come in.

  "Hey Babe, uh the doors unlocked"

  "Yeah that would be because Teddy broke in to try and sleep in the garage"

  "Your nephew?"

  "One and the same"

  "That does explain why my bat's out, I'll finish making your cuppa"

  "I can make a cuppa, I'm pregnant not incapacitated"

  "I know that, but knowing you, you've already set up the spare bed and whatever's in the washing machine is Teddy as I caught up with washing today"

  "No need to call me out like that, can you grab some clothes for Teddy?, I wasn't going to attempt to climb for them"

  "I can do that Babe"
