The Saint Riders

-A bright flash flickered and fluttered, spreading across the white walls of the majestic marble manse. Magnificent & monumental monuments of quadrupedal warriors lined every corridor, some with as many as four arms, all hairless save for their horse tails and stallion mohawks (All are crowned with the horns of unicorns). Their hair was raven or river blue like their eyes, with alabaster skin and blue or black hooves rather than feet. There are only males among their kind, just as only women are born to the peoples of Phoenix & Izmadi. Orion, however, differs from all others of his ilk. He was born silver of eyes, hair, and hooves; with two legs rather than the four all other silver-eyed warriors had been born with before him. He was seen as blessed by a small, small few, and would have largely been seen as cursed were he not the son of the former grand general of the Ved’Helios nation-state.

The N’Ved-Ra are the largest & greatest fighting force in the entire ancient history of the 7 Planes of Kundra. The K?jin-Nag? are strong enough to fell battle beasts & berserkers. ?O-Meru-Ki possess strength to bring H’Ragro’Shin & Hulks to heel, but the N’Ved-Ra are such that they bend half a dozen of them both like brittle bark, while starved & sleep deprived.

Orion was awake in a dream of every blazing light spectrum or color scheme. Even with his closed eyes, the weary warrior could still see the debilitating rainbow rays that obscured even his mind’s eye. A figure could be clearly seen even without the assistance of his sight. The polychromatic luminescence bulged & bowed inward, flowering & flowing around the obsidian obscurity which shaded & shaped into a bodacious star-studded shadow. The twilight tapered into her curvaceous caricature as the kaleidoscope of colors crowned her head like hair. Her enchanted eyes were brighter than any star to ever light the night sky. Her lips overflowed with fullness, as did her heavy breasts, which perked & floated like clouds above the sleeping soldier. She is the most beautiful woman whom has ever walked the world; she is the most beautiful woman whom will ever walk the world. The Lady of Light. The Womb of the World. The Mother of Rainbows!

His eyes opened twice, yet seemed to remain closed as his soft snores continually whistled all throughout the nearby hallways. Her celestial soles neither sifted soil nor grazed grass, as she glided to and through the length of the room, from the dense door to the dreaming dragoon.

An open amethyst gemstone tome, fit for titans, hovered half a foot above her head. It was near or nigh three feet long & one and a half feet in width. The book was as thick as her thighs, directly above the knee, with the Flower of Life etched into its cover via inlaid gold. The jeweled grimoire lit up in a pale purple hue, splitting its lavender seams to form thick, pomegranate plates as opening pages (Naming the volume and chapter in the ancient tongue, causes lilac dry lightning to strike the antique spell book, searing glyphs & runes into the exposed surfaces of its 12 tablets). An indigo egg floated six inches out in front of her forehead, with lapis lazuli light breaching its boundaries, brightening the entire regal room. The ultramarine orb brought out her eyes and turned his skin turquoise & teal all over.

“Lo, son of Oroboros, son of Uroboros.”

Her voice vibrated the entire pearl palace, with spells & sorcerously magical words, even with her tender tone. Irrespective of her words, he was sincerely convinced that he’d heard her utter “Ahoy, father of Ori’Star, father of Ori’Si;” which was strangest due to him having fathered no heirs. What’s more, her pristine & prismatic lips never motioned nor mentioned either option, from atop their perfect placement on her flawless face.

  … … …

It was no doubt Doublespeak (Mayhaps, even Triplespeak) which she’d implored onto him and his personage. To speak without speaking, multiple multilingual messages being broadcast to all targets, with no need of sound to voice them.

“Harken! For thou hast been chosen to be my Second Son!”

Mind you, Orion was profoundly confident that he’d understood her to have said “my second sun,” which was bizarre on account of her luscious lips only mouthing the words “my second.” The whole of the magnificent manor had shaken to its core for the second time before the sleeping soldier sat up to attention; as would have his member were his race not exclusively eunuchs, biologically.

As a purely male species, the N’Ved-Ra come about through the death of a Unicorn in union with the loss of a hero of Kundra, fusing both body & soul into the most powerful warrior race on the 7 Planes. The first N’Ved-Ra came to be at the dawn of the First Ring (The numbered Ages of the World), when the Long Night ended with the death of the Storm God, marking the Age of Rainbows. The Last War was led by the Saint Riders (Virgin or unbled men); as only the chaste can mount a unicorn. When their legions fell or were felled, the spirits & shells of both became one and the same. The resulting N’Ved-Ra are immune to magic and channel or drain it in ways that are alien to the rest of Thrankind (The collective kindred of Kundra). The Unicorn Horn allows the N’Ved-Ra to tap into the Hive Power, added to, via each of their individual experiences & practices. N’Ved-Ra can also forsake their immortal power by breaking their horns, in exchange for the ability to reproduce; though this process is permanent and renders them mortal as well…
