Sky looks deliciously soft and baby blue today

  I did it.

  Well, we did it.

My friend and I dragged the generator fully into the shed, ran the extension properly, kept it outside like the instructions yelled about in bold text. Carbon monoxide this, ventition that. Yeah, whatever. I left the shed windows open, good enough.

Thank god I had help though, cause my stupid ass definitely couldn’t do it.

I tried, but this girl can’t read diagrams for shit. Honestly, I’d probably be electrocuted a few times over if I tried hooking it up myself.

My house has had solid, running power for the past few days now. It’s kind of nice not relying on a steady supply of batteries for my fshlight, or lighters and matches for my candles.

Got some mumblies hanging out in the backyard this morning. I think they also like the new generator, cause they’ve been crowding around it every day.

I wonder if dead people can still suffer from damaged ear drums.

But hey, long as they don’t start getting into fist fights with that hunk of metal, they can host staring contests with it all they want!

  Tangerine Ocean In The Clouds

I’ve been spending the afternoon organizing stuff with my friend.

We did a lot of re-organization and moved some extra supplies upstairs. It used to be extremely dark up there, but now that I can see things better with my balls of eyes, figured I’d do some sprucing up and spring cleaning!

I did a deep clean in one of the bedrooms. It was waaaay overdue.

It’s amazing how much easier it is to clean when you can actually see the stains.

I even plugged in an old radio I found quite awhile ago. There was only static at first, of course, but when I was trying to browse the frequencies, I heard like a little blip of a voice for a second.

Might of been just interference or I’m hallucinating the voices of the mumblies, but still, it’s worth checking out more.

I mean, can you imagine? If there’s more people out there for me to find, that only means more friends.

And more friends means I’ll never be alone again.

  Evening

I’m not sure if I’ll get used to that hum of the generator in the background. It’s a little bit noisy, but not too bad. But, I don’t want to be without power so I have no choice but to get used to it.

My friend also suggested tonight that we keep dark curtains covering all the windows.

It’s a good idea, all things considered. If any weirdos out there see my house lit up like a christmas tree, it’s likely I’ll have a lot of unwelcome visitors.

I got plenty as it is, I don’t need more.

My house has some dark purple curtains, but not enough to cover everything. So, we out to the nearby neighbors houses and took any dark curtains we could find. They’re ugly as shit, like dark green and deep navy, but it’ll do. I guess.

But y’know, this whole mission got me thinking.

If people could potentially find my house by seeing the lights on, could I also find new friends by spotting lights in the dark?
