This story follows canon closely at first, with some scenes retaining their original dialogue where it makes sense, though most lines are original and adjusted to fit the new context.

  Prologue:

  So this is how it ends? A raid that went wrong enough, that a bullet found its way into my neck, and punctured major blood vessels? I suppose it could've been much worse, but... I wish it didn't end that way. But I suppose that's life. And now I'm no longer alive. But I haven't gotten what I need yet, but I can't go back, as I wouldn't remember what it is, because my sense of self will be wiped clean, and my memory will all but certainly go with it.

  So, I wondered South-East. The path less travelled. The path with no clear destination.

  Eventually, I found a new way for me to live again, and find what I need. But surprisingly, it was in the past. But not exactly the one I know from where I came from. What removed all doubt was the Finger. The one sealed within Yuji Itadori. It was dormant, as was intended. But, it was also the only way that I could anchor myself to this world. So I coalesced around it, not quite penetrating its finer layers, but enough for me to remain tethered.

  I can observe everything that Yuji is doing. It’s the year 2018, as it is also the start of June. For now, I can only watch through his eyes, and listen through his ears. I can only infer what Yuji’s thinking at any given moment. I occasionally nudged him into saying or doing something. I also studied the finger, and observed its inner workings. More out of curiosity than anything else, as I observed Yuji’s life unfold. Though I can tell that he knows that I’m here, even if only subconsciously. Yuji’s dreams certainly point in that direction, even if Yuji doesn’t examine them any deeper than that. I usually return to my inner-world for entertainment, or introspection as it’s essentially like Lucid Dreaming, since I am within my own Mind afterall.

  I have a feeling that this also applies to Sukuna. But, I know one thing: Everything will soon change. And Yuji will be at the center of it. And it all starts with the other finger. The one they took yesterday…
