55. Unfair

Ken’s strong move broke the cell of Medrick.

“Whatttt!” Medrick couldn’t believe the strength of Ken.

“Let’s go, we have little to no time,” Ken muttered.

Then both Ken and Medrick began running, not to the end but towards the next floor. Medrick didn’t understand the plan, so he asked about it.

“Do you think we can win against them?” Ken asked.

“Yes, the royal army now has fewer strong persons, right?” Medrick gave his opinion.

“No, not the royal army, against them?” Ken clarified cryptically.

  “Them who?” Medrick asked, wondered.

“Ok, I will give you some details,” Ken began, telling some of the incidents that they faced from the attackers that targeted Theron village.

Medrick was shocked to hear the words and could relate to some of it, but didn’t understand everything.

  Pulse Wave Fist!!

Ken attacked three soldiers who came at him from the opposite end.

  To the Veris fight,

Anders ordered his soldiers not to lay a hand on Veris as he wanted to kill him with his own hands.

The fight between Veris and Anders is so brutal as both of them went all out attacking and managed to hurt each other, but couldn’t defend themselves properly from the other.

“You are going to give up, right?” Veris asked Anders.

“Why should I, if I defeat you?” Anders marched forward to attack.

  VOID THRUST!!!

Veris tried swaying, but Anders read it and smacked Veris's face before he could even react.

Veris was thrown to the ground as he inched towards defeat.

  On the other side,

Andrew and Galen were fighting alongside. They were on the verge of defeating Tiberon, as he had no choice but to constantly defend against their attacks.

“I am sorry, Anders, I couldn’t even defeat these guys. I am not that strong, I don’t deserve anything,” Tiberon thought, understanding that he was about to lose.

“How can I become stronger? How can I defeat my enemies?” Tiberon screamed, holding his tears, desperate to know the answer.

  Punch!!

Tiberon didn’t even try to block as he was clearly frustrated by his lack of strength and only wanted to know the answer to his question.

“You don’t need to be strong to defeat your enemies,” Andrew told him after punching.

Andrew’s words hit harder than his punch for Tiberon, as he could sense that he could grasp something that he never even thought of.

“What’s your strength for you? To defeat your enemies?” Galen began speaking.

Tiberon suddenly remembered something. The words that he heard from Galen are already vaguely stored in his memories.

He tried recalling the exact moment when he heard these exact words, but he failed due to his exhaustion.

“I have heard this somewhere, but where?” he thought, closing his eyes.

“I will free you not only from your doubts, but also from this world,” Galen said, and walked towards Tiberon.

“To be stronger is not for defeating others, it’s for protecting others,” Galen answered.

“I am not the right person to say these words, because I failed in protecting him, but I won’t make that same mistake again,” Galen muttered, thinking about his friend, about to hit Tiberon.

He dropped his sword and was about to use his ultimate move on Tiberon. Tiberon doesn’t block or sway.

“Thank you, I am by no means strong. I loved fighting because I thought it was my own way of fun. I wanted to defeat my enemies by fighting, but defeating isn’t fighting,” Tiberon’s words before receiving the blow.

“I understand now, you didn’t attack me, you saved me! Thank you! I need to see Anders now, but I can’t, so convey this message to him: “Thanks for everything, Anders. I couldn’t have survived without you. Thank you!!” he said, reached out his hands freely, and he was on his knees waiting to receive that blow.

Tears were hanging in his eyes, not because he was about to be killed, but because he finally understood what it means to fight.

  STORM PIERCER!!!

Right after Tiberon finished speaking, Galen used it, and Tiberon received it as if he were receiving a reward.

The whole prison felt that move once again, but neither Galen nor Andrew didn’t feel that because they felt emotional for Tiberon.

“If this is what frees him, then this is not wrong, right?” Andrew asked Galen.

“No, you are wrong, I am just killing my enemies; they have their own reasons to attack me, I am not the right person to decide their existence,” Galen answered, feeling sad.

“Only they are allowed to decide their own existence; what I did was wrong, but nothing is fair in this world,” he continued.

“The only thing that is fair in this world is to realise that our lives are unfair, but we have to live fairly to reduce the unfairness that might happen to us,” Galen concluded.

The whole prison was silent as if everyone listened to his words.

“Well, you can attack and also speak,” The scarred man told Galen, when he entered the place.

  Back to Ken,

“What is happening here?” Medrick muttered, confused.

“It’s the same feel,” Ken thought.

“We must release them quickly to survive,” Ken told Medrick.

“Release who? Why are we going upwards?” Medrick began asking questions as he couldn’t understand Ken’s motive.

Both Ken and Medrick reached the second level of the prison.

“How can we search them here?” he asked, wanting to know the answers.

“Not here, we still need to go up,” Ken revealed.

“Up?” Medrick wondered and was confused.

When they were running towards the next level, they saw the fight between Veris and Anders from a distance.

“Should we fight them?” Ken thought, calculating the other possibility.

  Punch!!

Medrick smacked the guard right in his face when he tried to attack Ken from the back.

The guards began to come towards them as Ken was forced to decide.

“Decide quickly, Ken, we are surrounded. Should we fight everyone or run?” Medrick asked Ken, who wanted to fight, but was controlling his instincts.

  Flip!!

Sound of the coin flipped in the air!!!

“Why is he flipping his coin every time?” Medrick said, was confused by Ken’s move.

  Tails!!

“What does it mean?” Medrick asked Ken.

“Run to the top!!!” Ken answered, took his coin from the ground.

He didn’t think for a second as he began running out of nowhere.

The guards were confused as they didn’t expect this, so did Medrick, as he couldn’t understand it either.

“Come faster, we have no time,” Ken shouted, turning back towards Medrick while running.

“Then, I have no other choice,” Medrick muttered and began to run.

“Why are you running?” The guards asked, as they were confused by their actions.

After a second, they also began running to chase them.

Veris and Anders were confused when they saw Ken and Medrick running as the guards chased them.

“I think we should end this quickly,” Veris muttered.

“I thought the same,” Anders replied.
