As soon as I exploded onto the surface, Dark Matter attacked me but this time my shield was enough to hold it back. The best part was that the Dark Matter didn't even seem to be affecting me.
I shot into the air and surveyed the scene, using Matter to push the Dark Matter away from me.
What I saw was not good. The behemoth had closed half the distance across the field and was rapidly approaching the academy. Nothing seemed to be able to stop it.
I was about to swoop in and start attacking when I remembered what the voice had said. Use the rune or something like that.
So, I hesitantly reached to that imprint on my brain and activated it with Matter. Almost immediately I felt myself get sucked dry as I fell towards the ground.
Then it hit me.
It felt like a truck but this was something that I WANTED to hit me. I instantly felt power beyond anything I had felt before. I knew that it would still be a close fight between me and the behemoth but now I at least stood a fighting chance.

I plunged straight towards the monster gathering inconceivable power in my sword. Then I was suddenly stopped. I felt the voice in my head telling me that if I tried to defeat it here, the resulting explosion would be so big that it would wipe out the academy.
I perplexedly sighed and surrounded the behemoth in a glowing white sphere, carrying it towards the sky. I went up with it, going hundreds of feet a second until I finally felt like I was ready to blow the beast to shreds.
I started gathering the power into my sword but then realized it wasn't going to be enough. One last time I powered up the imprint in my head and got another surge of energy.
I pushed it all into the tip of my sword and looked at it. What I was holding was nothing like what the sword had once been.
I was controlling a sword big enough to slice up a mountain with my brain. Somehow I managed to grab the sword and push it straight into the behemoth.
My eyes went wide as the beast exploded, pushing me through the atmosphere at speeds that I couldn't have reached with the airship.
With the last moment of my consciousness, I formed a colossal sphere of Matter around me before I collided with the earth.
Still, upon impact everything went black.
