  "It's about damn time you two showed up"Leo said

  He was starting to think something might have happened to the of them as the rest of the vultures had already returned.

  "Where've you two been?, and don't give me that crap talk about hoping to get more resources you've used that excuse too many times than I can count" Leo added waiting for an explanation from both Chloe and Dave.

  "Gettiing.....more.... resources" Dave said slowly getting a stare from leo.

  "I swear it I don't know what to do with you two, at least tell me you brought something decent this time" Leo huffed changing the topic, he interest had been diverted to whether on not their loot was Worth the wait or as always filled with shit

  "You go it"Dave smiled placing his bag on the floor and revealing all he had looted before returning as so did Chloe who really haven't said anything since they arrived.

  "Great this might last us a week or two, you both did well this time...."Leo paused "ok, go get some rest and get yourself clean, we might be feasting tonight" Leo joked.

  The afternoon went by well and soon the dead silence of night replaced the growling of the monsters outside the wall, on top of the was sat Chloe, this ad always been her alone spot, a place where she could sit and think without being interrupted.

  "Staying late tonight are we?" Dave asked slowly closing the distance between where Chloe sat and him. She could have sent him away but the only thing she thought about now was how he had managed to find her even when she knew no one else knew about this spot of hers but her.

  "Not in the mood now Dave....., I'm thinking" Chloe replied her voice soft as she laid her back on the smooth surface of the upper wall while stareing at the stars

  "They hate me" she added giving out a sigh

  "Hate?..., who exactly hates you?...., you're like the best, most courageous person I've seen so far"Dave replied trying to lighten the mood but his words haven't seen to have made any impact on Chloe's mood

  "You don't have to lie to make me smile Dave....., they're afraid of me, all because I got this" Chloe said again pointing at the bite mark on her arm

  "All because I'm di..different" Chloe added

  "You say it like you wanted you t be bitten, everyone's just jealous they didn't get the ability you gained alongside the bite" Dave joked, this worked as Chloe smiled alittle

  "Look, you're different yes......., that doesn't make you less human, you didn't turn after getting bitten, let's just say you got lucky" Dave stretched out his arm for her

  "Now c'mon you're missing the party, and remember you've gotta be prepared tomorrow s'it"Dave reminded pulling Chloe up as she had held on to the arm which pulled her up.

  "Watch out!!...............Chloe" a voice familiar to that of Dave yelled but it soon went pitch black and nothing else could be seen.

  "She's got to be under observation for now............, she haven't turned yet, maybe we can take that as a sign humanity could still be saved"

  *Sirens blare loudly*

  *Huffs*

  "Get her by all means, do not let her run away, the fate of humanity lies on her!!!" The same voice yelled

  *Exhaling, inhaling, footsteps becoming faster*

  Waking up Chloe found herself covered in her sweat, she had just had a nightmare, one she might call a reoccurring nightmare as it has been all she has been dreaming about now since the last months

  "C'mon......, ain't there no end to it" she huffed realizing it was dawn already and she needed to get ready for the day.

  All dressed she quickly headed for the vultures base of operation.

  "She's late......., again" a vulture said, he had the same depressing look on his face like he had everyday "why don't we just go on without her?" He asked

  "Why luke?, so you can take her place?," Dave asked, his relationship had never been good with Luke one could tell with a glare

  "We can't luke. She plays a significant role in our mission today, and in this group as the vice captain, so sorry for saying but we have to wait for her to get here" Leo noted. Just as he had ended his sentence Chloe walked in.

  "Speaking of the devil"Luke smiled his hands folded as he watched Chloe take her seat not even replying like he didn't matter

  "Just quit it already Luke, she's here, now I think we should go through the plan one more time before leaving for the port" Leo suggested placing a map of the port, one he had for a long time now. Funny enough it wasn't a surprise to the vultures as Leo was known for his curiosity of things and could take anything he found useful of studying. This was the same reason he had asked Chloe to be registered under his unit of the vultures. Although everyone else might see her as a threat or perhaps ticking bomb because of the bite on her arm, Leo saw her as nothing but harmless and also something worth studying.

  "We received a call......., more of a message than a call, but it seems there are survivors at the port and our mission today will be to rescue them rather than gathering resources" Leo stated

  "This was personally assigned to us by altera (way to say ALTERAS CREATOR ) himself, I don't know why but we've got to save them and also get any thing we might find useful for the encampment at the port" Leo added shifting his gaze to observe his unit before placing a note of the strategies he had come up with for the mission.
