Chapter 16

  Peter

Peter had been swinging in his hammock when Tinkerbell flew in glowing particularly brighter than usual.

In the corner of his eye, he sees his Lost Boys stiffen and fidget. He’s never completely understood them, but they were fun to play around with.

After all, you can’t play a game with only one person.

Tinkerbell comes to a stop inches away from his eyes, “Guess what I know Peter,” she teased.

Excitement immediately filled him and Peter felt himself lift off his hammock slightly. The fairies always had the best games. “What? What is it, come on Tink tell me.”

This book's true home is on another platform. Check it out there for the real experience.

The tiny winged woman hemmed and hawed enjoying the boy’s attention, "Curly's ready to fly” She finally confesses.

“Really?” Peter breathed out. Flying was one thing he had never been able to share with his Lost Boys as the fairies always said they weren’t ready.

“He’s finally got everything?” He asked and stopped holding on to gravity. As he floated up he grinned widely.

“Yep! He’s been here long enough now that he can take the final test.” Tinkerbell joins him in the air, and they hover together inches under the ceiling. “I’ve already sent him out, now we have to find him.”

Peter was so excited he crowed loudly. “Alright boys, you heard her. Get ready-” Tinkerbell’s angry jingles cut off his instructions.

“Oh, right. I forgot.” Peter laughed her anger off and waved his hand, “Never mind. This is a special game. You guys stay here.”

With that, he was off flying through the small opening in the ceiling he burst out of the tree his hideout hid below and entered the open sky of Neverland.
