At this point, everything turned black for Hatashi. He found out his eyes were closed and when he opened them, he saw that he was alive while the sun king stood in front of him.

  After he recovered, His eyes searched for Tiatsuri and Kaitara but when he found them, he was scared stiff. They were on fire as they barely survived the sun king’s attack by protecting themselves with Usuki energy last minute. They couldn’t move because the heat rays he released at that moment were hotter and even more powerful than his normal aura.

  Furthermore, when Hatashi stood up looking very angry. For him, all hell had broken loose. He had lost his cool.

  “Tiatsuri and Kaitara” Hatashi called out in a rather belated voice.

  “Leave this to me” Hatashi commanded.

  “Yeah, we can still….” Tiatsuri said but couldn’t complete his sentence when he looked into Hatashi’s eyes.

  “Go, you’re in no shape to fight!!!” Hatashi said angrily and after which he gave Tiatsuri a hard stair. The look on his face already said it all.

  “let’s go Kaitara” Tiatsuri said then he and Kaitara jumped down from the platform.

  “I hope he knows what he’s doing,” Tiatsuri thought, watching Hatashi ready himself.

  While all this was happening, the Sun King just looked on in pity. When he saw Hatashi ready himself, he began laughing at him in ridicule.

  “you intend to fight me alone, Hirakima boy” He said mid laughter while looking at Hatashi. “I admire your confidence and brazenness”

  “I want to make you a proposal but first I’ll ask you a question” the sun king said, now putting on a serious face.

  “why do you work for this so-called king?” The sun king asked while waiting for Hatashi to answer.

  Nevertheless, Hatashi who was enraged, just looked at him. He still continued, without minding whether Hatashi answered him or not.

  “you all want to risk your life in order to make him praise you or increase your rank” He sneered. “ you all just want to be rewarded by a leader who doesn’t even care about whether you live or die”

  In a blink of an eye, their swords clashed. They began attacking at speeds that couldn’t be seen by the human eye.

  “that speed!” Tiatsuri thought to himself.

  “I've never seen Hatashi move that fast” Kaitara thought to herself.

  Anyway, tide of the fight turned in Hatashi’s as the sun king failed to keep up with Hatashi’s speed. Hatashi’s flurry of attacks kept on moving the sun king back.

  “I know your plan Hirakima boy” the sun king thought while blocking and dodging Hatashi’s attacks. “but it will only go this far”

  “solar technique: sun dance” He said without performing the solar technique hand sign like usual. The sun dance attack which made him radiate an aura of heat rays that took a lot of space which drove Hatashi back. Although, not for long.

  “dragon technique: furnace” Hatashi said then set the part of the arena where the sun king stood ablaze. With the abundance of flames, it didn’t seem as if the sun king would survive.

  “he got him” Kaitara said joyously but Tiatsuri just smiled and looked at her.

  “not yet” Tiatsuri said then pointed to a dark silhouette in the flames.

  Nevertheless, the sun king walked through the flames unharmed. Everyone in the fortress were awe struck. They wandered how he survived such an attack.

  “ how foolish of you to think flames can burn someone who controls the sun” the sun king said then performed the solar technique: solar orb attack. As multiple fiery orbs which looked like the sun rained down on Hatashi the sun king kept on attacking him which made it harder for him to dodge. This proved to be a problem for Hatashi as all he could do at this point was dodge and parry the sun king’s attacks.

  “ I have to avoid any injuries that could render me immobile because Kaitara is in no position to heal me” Hatashi said while dodging and parrying the sun king’s attacks.

  “even so, I can’t keep up with him forever I have to create a distraction but how” Hatashi thought but just as he was about to parry another of the sun king’s attacks, the sun king kicked him in the gut and then in a split second he gave him a jab to the face that sent him flying until he hit a wall. This made him vomit blood but lucky for him, he was still conscious, half conscious at most.

  “Hatashi!!!” Tiatsuri and Kaitara screamed. They tried to get up to the platform but they stopped when they remembered they were still burning.

  “You did your best Hirakima boy” The sun king said while watching Hatashi try to stand.

  “what a waste of talent!!!” the sun king roared then performed solar technique hand sign while looking at Hatashi in disappointment

  “because of the respect I have for you and your clan I’m going to finish you off with one of my most powerful attacks” the sun king said with a grin.

  “solar technique: true solar sphere” the sun king announced then he raised his hand up and he charged a gigantic blast which was more than ten times the size of his solar orbs. This situation spelt doom for Hatashi who had already gotten up on seeing the blast but saw no possibility of moving out of the blast range without dying.

  “Hatashi get out of there!!!” Tiatsuri and Kaitara screamed upon seeing the blast.

  “is this where it ends?” Hatashi thought to himself while staggering and looking up at the true solar sphere the sun king had created.

  But just as the sun king was about to throw the true solar sphere at Hatashi, the whole fortress turned dark.

  “dark technique: shadow garden” Hashiro said while he stood in front of Hatashi.
