And so then the doughnut making continued until dinner time, and then we stopped making doughnuts so that we could eat some dinner; and then as we ate I said, “So that was pretty crazy that Rose confirmed that Skye exists…
I mean, who would’ve thought that a character from your dream is actually a member of the villainous crew that’s holding us captive!…” and then Kabe said, “It’s pretty crazy, for sure…
But I guess I kind of already believed that dreams at least sometimes reveal truths about reality, and so Skye’s existence might be more surprising to you than it is to me…” and then I said, “Very true, very true…
And so do you think that Skye actually has all of those extra arms that she can sprout like she did in your dream?…” and then Kabe said, “Probably…
I mean, if my dream was as accurate as Rose confirmed that it was then it wouldn’t be particularly surprising if it was accurate in regards to Skye having a bunch of arms too…” and then the 2 of us took a break from talking so that we could focus on eating, and then our dinner was interrupted a little while later by the door to our room unlocking and opening again, and this time a robot stepped in and said, “Hello, miscreants…
My name is officer Keys, and I’m here to determine whether you 2 can pass the honesty aspect of rehabilitation…” and then I said, “Oh!…
You’re the one who declared that Jasper was rehabilitated, right?…” and then Keys said, “Jasper did indeed complete the rehabilitation program, but he also ended up being transported to a different place than where we arrested him at; and so if you 2 ever complete this program and return home then it’s highly unlikely that Jasper will be there when you return…” and then Kabe frowned and said, “And why wasn’t Jasper returned to where y’all arrested him at?…” and then Keys said, “I am the officer, and you 2 are the miscreants; and so I am under no obligation to answer all of your silly questions…; and, so, anyway…; it’s time for me to determine how truthful you 2 are…; and so I’m going to ask you both several questions, and if you 2 lie in any of your answers then you will prove that you’re nowhere close to being rehabilitated yet…
And so question number one is have the 2 of you ever told lies?…” and then Kabe and I both responded that we had indeed told lies in the past; and then Keys said, “Unsurprising…
I mean, after all, most miscreants are LYING miscreants!!!…
And so have you 2 ever lied about whether you’ve told lies?…” and then Kabe and I both said that we had indeed lied about telling lies in the past…; and then Keys stared malevolently at us, and then they said, “And so it’s lies on top of lies, eh?…
But this is also unsurprising, unfortunately…
And so do you 2 think that you will ever tell LIES again?…” and then Kabe and I both said that it did indeed seem likely that we would tell lies again at some point in the future…; and then Keys said, “You 2 are lucky that you’re on doughnut-making duty, because the fact that you’re on doughnut-making duty means that I’m more limited in what I’m allowed to do right now…; and so I guess that since I can’t send you over to Rexy I’ll just have to write up a report that says that even you think that you’re going to be LYING some more in the future, and so I’ll be recommending against declaring that you 2 are rehabilitated until we can be certain that you 2 won’t be LYING again in the future…
Unlawfully taken from Royal Road, this story should be reported if seen on Amazon.
Farewell, miscreants…; and I hope that you’ll learn the value of not telling LIES as soon as possible…” and then “officer” Keys exited the room and locked the door behind them; and then I said, “Why do I get the sneaking suspicion that Jasper isn’t doing so great in the place that he got sent to after Keys declared him to be rehabilitated?…” and then Kabe said, “You’re probably suspecting that because “officer” Keys doesn’t seem very trustworthy to me…” and then I said, “Yeah…
I got the feeling that they’re not very trustworthy too…
Which makes it all the more sick and twisted that they’re the member of this villainous operation who focuses on not telling lies…
I mean, I’m pretty sure that almost everybody lies sometimes; but I can almost guarantee that “officer” Keys lies way more often than we do!…” and then Kabe said, “Oh, I agree, for sure…
I’ll bet you anything that Keys lies more than we do!…
I mean, they’re probably one of the biggest liars in the entire multiverse!…” and then I said, “That sounds pretty accurate to me…
And I think that they might just be the most overall villainous member of this crew of kidnapping villains too…” and then Kabe said, “Seems pretty likely…
Although we still haven’t met everyone who’s a part of this villainous operation yet, and so for all we know there might be some folks at this “rehabilitation” center who are even more villainous than Keys is!…” and then I said, “That’s very possible, for sure…
And that possibility makes me want to get out of this horrible place even more than I already wanted to get out of this horrible place!…” and then Kabe said, “Though it does seem that the fact that we’re making doughnuts is shielding us from some of the villainy that folks like Keys want to commit, and so as much as being forced to make doughnuts sucks it might be better for us that we’re doughnut-makers than it would be for us if we were just regular captives…” and then I said, “Which makes me even more worried about poor Jasper…
I mean, I had hoped that he’d been sent back home after he’d completed this “rehabilitation” program!; but Keys made it very clear that he was not sent home, and so for all we know he might’ve been sent to an even worse place than this “rehabilitation” center is!…” and then Kabe said, “It wouldn’t surprise me if that were true, based on how evil “officer” Keys is, and so I guess that if we ever get freed from this place then we’ll probably want to assemble a team to go and search for Jasper so that we can rescue him if he needs to be rescued…” and then I said, “For sure…
And we do have that hint that Keys gave us about Rexy, and so it seems to me like if we can just figure out where Rexy is then we can probably find and rescue Jasper…” and then Kabe said, “Yes indeed…
It certainly did sound like Jasper probably ended up getting sent over to Rexy by Keys, and so if we can find Rexy then we’ll probably find Jasper…
Though we won’t be able to do any of that until we manage to get out of this villainous “rehabilitation” center…” and then I said, “We will indeed have to get out of this rehabilitation center before we can try to find and rescue Jasper, for sure…” and then Kabe and I became silent for a while after that, and we went back to eating our dinner…; and as we continued eating dinner I tried very hard to think of some way to try n’ speed up Kabe and I getting back home, but I was having a hard time coming up with any new ideas, and so it continued seeming to me like making more doughnuts (and hoping that we’d be set free within the next week or 2 if we played along with these villainous tyrants) was the plan that seemed like it would be the most likely to result in us getting home as soon as possible…
