Wings of Beloved Part 1

  Chapter 19

  Wings of Beloved

  Part One

Portals covering the entire ocean emitted a white glow, allowing another wave of angel’s army to enter the planet. Their body gleamed with a majestic suit of white and gold. As they brandished their melee weapons, the holographic imprints on them shimmered, a clear sign of their impressive agility and damaging capabilities. With a headgear, their golden eyebrows and eyes stood out against their grey hair. The hue of sunlight glistened on their white halo and lips. They gave a sharp look at the person who was drooling over them.

Two thoughts took over her mind. First, the way to handle them without the blue rank features, she had lost thanks to Ira and the second one was to look out for the centre circular portal, bigger than all, leaking out the silver vibrational energy. The atmosphere seemed to get ready for a VIP. One who will guide them all, or else they would have already had approached a single woman, who had consumed three cubes of water, to stop the drooling.

The system advised her to be cautious about exceeding the required calorie intake. “It’s not my fault. I didn’t know that I will get the chocolate ones,” Manya said. “And instead of worrying about my calorie intake, tell me how to wipe them collectively?”

‘Ms., the features or powers you currently owned, are only enough to wipe a few dozen, and you can’t do it without a delay, unless you experience loads of those strange cramps.’

The intensity of the cramps had become tolerable, but their frequency was impacting both her physical abilities and mental focus after providing a temporary boost.

“How’s the situation at your hand?”

‘It’s not critical, for now. And the fall is solely depending on your aptitude.’

“Why am I sensing that you guys are taking me for a fool by saying these things about the end of this planet again and again? And you two are too clever to pull a kid’s play, and this gerix isn’t helping to understand anything but a way to end the existence of the angels.”

While learning the details about her overpowered weapons, dark clouds gathered in the sky, swirling like a powerful wave. What made her burst into laughter was the sight of the merpeople riding the calamities, their tails shimmering in the broken sunlight. And taunting angels.

The central portal emitted a powerful beam of silver energy that disrupted the weather, clearing the stormy aspects of waterspouts and drizzle. As if someone had inserted a vibrant and surreal beauty into the middle of a calamity, with morning dew filling the air. Waterspouts struggled to connect with those they grew apart from, fading away into air.

Despite being caused by angels, the light possessed the power to inspire hope in the fallen. The view transformed into stripes of darkness, filled with hints of stormy weather, aggressive wind, and pure light. The clear sky and clouds created a path for the sunlight to spread past the evil created by darkness or her.

“I can watch this again, right Vega?”

  ‘Yes, Ms.’

“Who are they trying to fool?”

‘Ms. The comments are in their favour.’ It was loaded with wings and cheers for angels in languages new to her. And her feed was restricted to only Sevavann.

“Nice way to brainwash the natives who have homes for angels in their hearts. At least there’s self-destruction.” Manya sighed. “And I thought this world to be different.”

‘It is Ms. Beings here don’t poop.’

Her eyes widened to their maximum extent. “I was so caught up in everything else that I completely forgot the most important thing,” she chuckled. “I haven’t done it since the last day at my apartment. Then how?”

The sudden arrival of a being from the central portal interrupted her important discussion about defecation.

“I would have whistled if it were you,” Manya said.

Darsh emerged and stood ahead of the entire swarm of flashy angels, and followed by more, bigger than an average-sized MNC, providing a decent background to him. We have already defeated you.

Before her next breath, the gap between her and Darsh was less than an inch. Her breath was no longer solely her own.

“I always wanted to taste your lips,” Darsh said, “a gratitude for this day.”

  “You don’t deserve these wings.”

“I collected the data of the user they belonged to from Ira. I wish I could be the one to torment his existence.”

“Angels rule number whatever,” Manya moved her mouth closer to his ears, “Never disrespect an entity,” In a split second, Manya teleported to celeriots, touched a few of them and was back to Darsh next second. “Who is higher in stature.”

His golden eyes, believed to be the angel’s legacy, mirrored the furious gaze of hers.

The celeriots she had touched before exploded, but their remains remained contained. It’s as if an invisible barrier prevented the debris from causing chaos.

Darsh furious, “I order thee all to destroy the existence of this planet!”

The formed groups charged at different locations, one went to land, others dived underwater to destroy the black metallic ocean bed Manya was always curious about. The last ones rushed towards her. She shot a sparkling missile from an RPG like weapon, leaving a cute blue trail behind. On impact, it created a small circular layer around an angel and swallowed in the nearest one inside. But was only enough to defeat just one batch. While others distanced themselves for safety.

To distract the angels with high resolve, she created an AI projection of the angels, enough to drool the one with high self-control and gave them cosmic wings with a text on them “Property of Manya.”

Darsh, with pursed lips, dashed to humiliate his respected, profound entities in a demeaning manner, even though they were mere illusions. He twirled, unleashing electrical gusts, which eliminated projections up to a certain distance. This created an opportunity for them to target Manya.

Sooner, she found another way to use the “Particle Fusion.” Despite her familiarity with manipulating unfamiliar particles, it was amazing how multiple blue energy orbs materialised around her through the movement of her fingers. Enough to handle the angelic hoard.

She grasped the concept of creating flawless ones; thoughts must be quick, accurate, and undisturbed. And I have to master this without gerix? And where the hell are you going, Ira?

Karulsh and Ira had departed for the land. “Vega, keep an eye on both.”

  ‘Yes, Ms.’

The effect of the gerix diminished, despite still being in its early stages. She couldn’t decide about feeling tired or not. ETA 13 minutes for the effect to wear off.

“I could defeat them in approx. 9 minutes, and will head straight to the city for remaining. Yes, let’s do it.”

With lightning speed, she charged at the angels. Using the remaining AIs, she destroyed the portals.

A faint hum filled the air. Endless streams of white electrical energy flew from the wings of angels and merged into—Darsh. Within a powerful barrier, he absorbed the energy from his brethren.

Her gaze met with Darsh. His face showing micro expressions of excitement, on the verge of breaking into a smile. She knew the cause, as she was aware of the incoming enemy from behind—the leader of giant angels.

With a swift turn, Manya grabbed the axe of the giant’s leader. But his strength was on another scale. With each second, he kept pushing her back. Manya used the waterspout’s creators to block his wing attack.

A sudden, intense pain gripped her abdomen. Using the power of her pain, she deformed her gun into several daggers and pushed it towards leader’s chest, but he blocked the daggers with his wings. Before he could get rid of them, the daggers melt into liquid and started malfunctioning his wings. Made it harder for him to fly.
