Upon the horizon visible to the soldiers of Ghilantriaz they see the sun beginning to set, as the golden rays grow lesser the soldiers for the day begin to hand the duty over to those of the night but as they are clambering down the walls past those to replace them a booming sound ripples out from above the fortress, the soldiers all look up those tired from the day do so almost reluctantly but they all have their eyes widen the moment they see what's above them. At that very moment they all see nothing but a fist, the giant fist crashes against the first barrier of the fortress defences, all the while undead in descend and begin surrounding the fortress in formed legions upon landing, undead mages quickly create walls and barriers in front of the undead so the the army can be protected. Magical alarms blare out from the fortress as the soldiers quickly man the walls and siege equipment yet the mages hurriedly make more soldiers look up as Yorun floats down from the portal clad in his draconic armour with the cloak billowing out behind him all while having the scythe in hand, he lands atop the barrier standing mid air on the invisible barrier prodding the scythes pointed tip against it.
"By all the gods it's him" Muttered one soldier as others uttered similar sentiments
"The God of War really did give you this barrier, if you feel safe in there. Don't" Yorun said coldly as he made the scythe disappear before floating up and starts flying over to the primary siege camp
"FIRE!" A soldier shouted while Yorun was still in earshot
Yorun turned quickly while making the scythe appear in his hand just in time to see the giant undead general's hand in front of him explode and a ballista bolt coming right at him, Yorun isn't quick enough to move out of the way of that yet teleports just in time out of its way. Yorun looks at the undead giant and sees the pieces of its hand that exploded burn away into nothing.
"Think we wouldn't prepare for your ugly corpse raising ass!? We're ready to fight you tooth and nail you son of a bitch!" A soldier shouted, Yorun recognises it as the one that ordered them to fire
"We are here necromancer" Virtalias' said telepathically to Yorun
"Tooth and nail hm? I take it you have some command here. I deal in blood and bone so do you really think it'll end with just those? Both living and dead march to take this fortress, let us see how long you last" Yorun said as Elven soldiers began teleporting to the siege camps while in the distance elven ships come into view on the shoreline while Yorun teleported to the primary siege camp before they take another shot
The second Yorun teleports into the siege camp a hail of arrows, magic and ballista bolts begin to rain down from the fortress clashing against the raised walls and barriers set by the undead mages which are being strengthened by the regular undead as well as the elven forces. Virtalias, Golanier and Sunhale approach Yorun.
"So, hell happened to the big one?" Sunhale asked pointing to the giant undead general which has retreated into the portal and out of sight
"Ballista bolt, blew the hand apart and destroyed what came off him, literally nothing left of the hand" Yorun said
"Hm, well I was right about them having some of the old defences from my time" Golanier said

"Great, wonder what else they have" Yorun said somewhat annoyed under his breath
"Who knows but for now? Get those devices you got going, they are a good line of defence for us against that hail of death they're raining down on us" Virtalias said
Yorun nods and with a telepathic command the undead set up the golem launchers in the middle of the makeshift walls, within moments both close and distant booms are heard as golems slam against the divine barrier attacking it and using their drill arms against the barrier, nothing is done to them but it does start to distract at least some of the soldiers on the fortress walls. In the No mans land between the siege walls and the fortress, a group of soldiers teleport there just outside the barrier.
"Soldiers protect them now!" A voice rings out on the walls of the fortress
Yorun watches as the nearest golems turn to the new arrivals, the soldiers physical weapons do nothing to deter the golems who rear their arms back drilling through them with only the mage managing to destroy two golems before succumbing to arrow fire from the undead lines. The nearest undead mage raises the bodies and teleports the supplies over to the undead lines for the elves to take.
"The undead are surprisingly well coordinated" Virtalias said
"They get smarter the longer they are around, while not all can speak directly even as they get smarter they can still work well without that" Yorun said
"With that group dead if we're lucky that means they have no one who could just slip through the barriers from the outside, means they really have to work with the supplies they have" Golanier said
"I need to coordinate with Tilaster. We're in for the long haul here, luck can't be what we rely on afterall" Virtalias said before teleporting away
"The long haul indeed, there is no quicker way through this barrier is there Raeknar?" Yorun asked aloud
"Not without bringing the associated god here and likely causing a fight between myself and him" Raeknar said within Yoruns mind
"Fantastic, we can't do that for several reasons, one being the destruction you two caused last time in Gantoral" Yorun said
"Indeed, right now? Play by their rules, it'll make it all the better when you beat them by playing 'right' Yorun" Raeknar said
Yorun watches as the attacks from the fortress and his own soldiers meet and pass in the middle stopping against barriers or even having some hit undead or elven soldiers resulting in similar explosions to what happened to the winged general, all the while far closer than Yorun knows yet still far enough for him to be safe now Hykalin Ghohalan sits in a fortress war room reading reports when the Ghilantriaz alarm blares through his head ringing his skull like a bell.
"Ghilantriaz is besieged, good. Enough time and I can begin driving this chosen back. Scouts! Ghilantriaz! Now!" Hykalin shouted from his room with him quickly hearing people run off
Hykalin looks around the war room with several maps and reports detailing the undead and elven movements over the course of the war.
"I'm going to drive you back, you'll soon enough regret this fight Farmer" Hykalin said as he sits back awaiting the next reports from the scouts
Hykalin waits several hours in the room until the scouts make their way into the room handing him the reports which he quickly looks over.
"Surrounded the fortress, they have the elves with them plus Djelir weaponry. Elven ships out on the shoreline too, explains why it took a while for you all to return. They were quick with this attack but methodical, they knew the situation surrounding the fortress and that it'd be difficult. Improved a lot in a short time haven't you? Let's see how well that keeps up" Hykalin said primarily to himself
Hykalin begins writing and drawing up some plans on a map before looking to the scouts.
"You're dismissed, one of you tell everyone to begin training, soon enough we will become very business" Hykalin said
The scouts leave and do as he told them confident in his abilities to lead them against the Chosen of Raeknar all the while Yorun is back at the siege knowing that some day Hykalin will come and he will not be ready for the surprise...
