Chapter 120

While under Elicia's leadership, Team B is taking actions to start the battle for real.

The team that Hisoka belonged to was not feeling great.

Unease is spreading around the team members because of Hisoka and his erratic behavior.

Hisoka lounged against the stone wall, one leg bent casually, chin resting lightly on his hand.

His expression was a zy smile, yet his eyes remained sharp.

Axven, the self-procimed and accepted leader of the Red Team, stood several meters away, trying to maintain composure as murmurs spread among the Red Team members.

  "That guy is insane."

"We're cursed to have him on our side."

"How are we even supposed to coordinate with someone like that?"

  The whispers were barely contained.

Some applicants avoided even looking at Hisoka directly.

Others stole gnces and immediately regretted it.

Axven had stepped forward earlier, volunteering to organize the Red Team.

He wasn't the strongest present, but he possessed a level head and natural leadership instincts.

  He inhaled slowly.

"This is part of the exam."

"We didn't choose each other. The Hunter world won't allow that luxury either."

  Some looked at him skeptically.

"If we can't handle one unpredictable teammate,"

  Axven continued,

"How will we handle unknown allies in the future?"

  It reframed the problem.

Instead of misfortune, this became a test of adaptability.

  Still, unease lingered.

  Axven's gaze returned to Hisoka.

The clown's smile had not changed once.

"I need to at least establish terms," Axven thought. "Even if he refuses cooperation, I must ensure he doesn't sabotage us."

  He exhaled sharply.

  Then walked forward.

At two meters away, Axven stopped.

"I would like to speak with you respectfully," he said evenly.

"May I take a moment of your time?"

  Hisoka's eyes flicked upward slowly.

  A smirk curled wider.

The respect behind the words of Axven made Hisoka interested in him.

Sometimes, he likes people who talk to him with respect and directly.

  "Sure," he replied.

"You're respecting me. That's civilized. More than many people that I have encountered coming here to the exam site—too bad they were not that lucky..."

The way he said it made Axven's spine chill.

There was something almost pyful yet deeply threatening in his tone.

  Axven nodded carefully.

"If you intend to work with us," he began, choosing words with precision,

"Could you share your preferred method?"

"I know that you are not the type who would listen to others, and I am not intending to tell you to do anything at all."

  "Just want to know."

  A pause.

"And if you don't intend to cooperate… could you at least assure us you won't act in a way that jeopardizes the team?"

Silence hung for half a second too long.

  Hisoka tilted his head.

  "I understand," he said softly.

  His gaze sharpened slightly.

  "You are… a potential."

  The word nded strangely.

Hisoka rose fluidly from his seated position.

The movement was rexed but coiled.

Every nearby red team member stiffened unconsciously.

"I will go into the cave," Hisoka said casually. "And attack all the enemy team."

  Axven blinked.

  "That is my pn."

And just like that, Hisoka turned and began walking toward the dark entrance of the tunnel.

For an individual like Hisoka, decring his intention is something that could be cssified as respect.

As a liar like Hisoka, telling the truth is something rare and only done to rare people in his life.

From this action, it could be seen that Hisoka did feel that Axven had some potential.

Axven nodded and then turned back to the others to tell them what he heard.

Their expressions ranged from confusion to relief.

"Well…" one muttered, "at least he's attacking the enemy."

Another was swallowed. "If he takes out half of them alone… we win, right?"

  Axven's mind raced.

On one hand, this removed a votile factor from their internal structure.

"We proceed with pnning and strategic movement; we cannot take him into consideration of our pn." Axven said quickly.

"Thirty attackers forward. Ten defenders remain near the base. Ten guard the fg."

Meanwhile, deeper in the cave system

  Hisoka walked alone.

  He licked his lips lightly.

"A team match…" he murmured to himself.

  His eyes gleamed.

  "So boring… if everyone behaves."
