Kirin, a talented but naïve priestess-in-training, has begun to experience nightmares, something that is supposed to be impossible for women born under a high house of orme. Fearing judgment from the clergy and her peers, she withdraws, only to be called to meet with the holy prophetess, who communicates directly with the long-departed goddess through her dreams.
