Volume 2 chapter 106-107

  **Volume 2: Upper World**

**Chapter 106: Not the Same Kid**

  **(Arc: Beginning of the End)**

  July 4th, 12:52 a.m. – Shinjuku (Collapsed Plaza Ruins)

  Jason moved — fast.

No afterimages this time — just pure speed — boots cracking pavement as he closed the gap on Jane in a heartbeat. Jane barely turned before Jason grabbed his ankle mid-step — yanked — and slammed him down five times in quick succession. Each impact rang out like thunder — Jane’s back, chest, head — concrete shattering under him, dust exploding outward. On the fifth slam Jason spun — threw Jane like a ragdoll — body crashing through the wall of a half-collapsed house. Bricks and rebar rained down — Jane disappeared inside the rubble.

  Silence for half a second.

Then Jane pushed up — slow — core scar pulsing brighter, green eyes cold now, no more smile. Blood dripped from his mouth — ribs cracked, but healing already.

Jason stood thirty feet away — hand reaching into his jacket — pulling out a small, black pistol. Soul gun. Five shots loaded — red-black energy humming in the barrel.

  He fired.

Five cracks — each shot a streak of soul-burning light — hitting Jane’s chest, shoulder, thigh, neck, forehead. Jane staggered — aura flickering — core scar cracking wider — black-red energy leaking like oil. The shots weren’t just bullets; they burned will energy, scorched the soul itself.

Jane roared — hands together — black-red haze trying to bloom again.

  Jason didn’t wait.

He dashed — 600 fps — closed the distance — fist pulled back — **Azure Flash** at full power. The punch landed clean — right through Jane’s chest — fist bursting out the other side — core scar exploding in a shower of black-red shards. Jane’s eyes widened — mouth open in a silent scream — body jerking once — then still.

Jane dropped — dead — core finally shattered.

Jason stood over him — breathing hard — blood dripping from his knuckles — then smiled. Small. Tired. Real.

He turned — saw Mara walking toward him through the smoke.

Mara stopped — void eye glowing faint blue-white — sword in hand — Reaper still cracked but humming. He looked at Jason — then at Jane’s body — then back at Jason. Mara’s face was hard — thinking Jason was still the same evil kid who’d killed so many.

Jason raised his hands — slow — no weapon.

“Please,” he said — voice rough, cracking just a little. “I’m not that same kid.”

Mara tilted his head — eyes narrowing — raised Reaper — about to swing.

Then he paused — looked down at his empty hand.

  “Where’s my sword?”

Jason nodded toward the distance — toward where Sky was.

  “With Sky.”

Mara’s eyes softened — just a fraction — the hard edge fading. He lowered Reaper — stepped forward — grabbed Jason’s hand — helped him up from where he’d dropped to one knee.

They walked — side by side — Mara limping slightly, Jason bleeding but healing — two broken kids heading toward whatever was left.

Switch — Ray’s Realm of the Gods (Inside)

Ray stood in the center — purple aura rolling like storm clouds — cutting over and over — will blades slicing Hiro, Aoi, Taka, Lola — they couldn’t move, couldn’t fight back. Blood flowed — wounds opening faster than they could heal.

Jaylee, Luka, Andrew, Reiji — all helping — threads whipping, mercury energy flowing, void eyes staring, crimson energy slashing.

Max — out of the box now — shadows weak but still fighting — loyal shade blocking some cuts.

Ray raised his hand — about to do the finishing blow.

Then Aoi kicked — small foot connecting with Ray’s face — Ray staggered — surprised. Aoi punched — fist glowing spatial — Ray blocked — but Aoi stabbed forward with a crack — piercing Ray’s side. Ray threw Aoi into the blood river — water splashing.

Taka got the opening — swept Ray’s legs — Ray fell — Taka stabbed downward — sword through Ray’s back — Ray’s eyes widened — purple aura flickering.

Sky ran — jumped high — kicked Ray hard in the chest — Ray flew back — crashed into a bridge of bone — cracking it in half.

Ray got up — mad now — eyes glowing violent purple.

He clapped both hands — **Realm of the Gods** intensifying again — land multiplying, water turning to blood oceans, skies splitting wider.

But outside — Jason and Mara kept walking — toward the fight.

Ray looked up — saw them — smiled slow.

The chapter ended with Ray standing in his realm — purple aura flaring — looking at Jason and Mara approaching through the collapsing edge.

  **Chapter 107: All Out**

  **(Arc: Beginning of the End)**

  July 4th, 12:58 a.m. – Shinjuku (Ray’s Realm of the Gods)

Jason looked across the shattered plaza — Sky and Max both up now, breathing hard, blood dripping, but fighting. Sky’s light blue aura flickered weak but steady, Max’s shadows curling around him like dying pets. Mara stood beside Sky — void eye glowing faint, Reaper back in his hand — the two of them staring down Ray in the center of the realm.

Ray’s purple aura rolled like storm clouds — eyes glowing violent — ready.

Mara and Sky moved at the same time — 2v1.

Sky dashed — 600 fps burst — fist snapping toward Ray’s chest. Ray blocked — punched back hard — fist slamming into Sky’s ribs — Sky flew, but Mara was already there — Reaper swinging in a clean arc. Ray sidestepped — counter-punched — cut Mara’s arm clean off at the shoulder — blood spraying.

Mara didn’t scream — void eye flared — arm regrowing slow, black-blue energy stitching it back. Sky threw Mara’s sword — Reaper flying through the air — Mara caught it mid-spin — sped forward — blade whistling — stabbed Ray straight through the heart.

Ray’s eyes widened — purple aura flickering — but he didn’t fall. His body shuddered — then grew — four extra arms sprouting from his sides — six total now — blocking Mara’s follow-up swings. Punches rained from every direction — Mara dodged some, took others — blood misting the air.

Ray’s arms snapped back — two normal again — he threw lightning — purple bolts cracking toward Mara. Mara raised Reaper — blade absorbing some — but one bolt grazed him — skin burning.

Jason took the hit instead — jumped in front — lightning punching through his chest — body jerking — blood exploding outward. He didn’t scream — just staggered — then punched Ray hard — fist connecting with jaw — Ray’s head snapped back. Jason kicked Ray’s head — boot cracking bone — then **Azure Flash** — fist glowing dark blue-pink — punched Ray’s stomach at full power — Ray flew back — crashed through a mountain of obsidian — rocks exploding outward.

  Jason threw Ray toward Sky.

Sky caught him mid-air — fist pulled back — **Echo Fist** — punch landing — delayed echoes stacking — Ray’s body jerking with each hit. Sky followed with green will energy — fist glowing emerald — punched Ray’s chest — will burning through Ray’s aura.

Mara dashed — Reaper swinging — cut Ray across the back — blood spraying — Ray roared — purple aura flaring wild.

Cut — Max vs Reiji (Nearby Ruins)

Max summoned **God Beast** — massive shadow wolf roaring — charged Reiji — claws tearing, fangs snapping. Reiji countered — crimson energy slashing — but God Beast punched hard — Reiji flew — crashed into a wall — concrete cracking.

Max opened his realm — **Echo Sovereign** — shadows flooding — clones at different frame rates — infinite echoes stacking. Reiji tried to cut through — crimson blades flashing — but Max’s shadows overwhelmed — God Beast stomping down — Reiji’s arm snapping.

Max unsummoned the beast — yellow aura flaring — ran fast — summoned a bird and a frog — bird dove — frog tongue wrapped — Reiji slashed — but Max was faster — punched Reiji’s face — ribs — throat — Reiji dropped — barely breathing.

Max won — barely — collapsing to one knee — shadows weak but alive.

  ---

Luka vs Aoi — Andrew vs Taka — Jaylee vs Hiro — all still raging in the distance — blades clashing, mercury flowing, threads whipping, golden glow flaring — none of them ending yet.

The chapter ended with Jason standing over Ray — breathing hard — looking at Sky and Mara — then at Max in the distance.
