Needless to say Sarah was very confused, moments ago there were 6 people in front of her and now there was only one, in shock, Sarah cautiously watched the boy as he stood up from his crouched position over one of his victims, after standing up and righting his posture the boy spun around to face Sarah.
A moment of silence passed before the boy spoke
Boy: “Hey” he casually said while raising his hand in greeting.
Sarah: “Hey?” she asked, stunned “Hey!?”
Boy: “Hey” the boy agreed
Another moment of silence passed before it was broken by Sarah
Sarah: “You can’t just beat up a bunch of people and then just casually say ‘Hey’” she complained.
The boy shrugged
Boy: “Are you ok?” He asked “They were being annoying, right? I didn’t just beat up your friends did I?” Worry had begun to creep into his voice at the thought that he might have misunderstood the situation.
Sarah: “Uh… no, they were not my friends,”
Boy: “Oh ok, good” the boy said in relief
Sarah: “thanks for the help I was getting worried there” she said
Boy: “it's cool, but you could’ve taken them though, right? I mean you seem strong enough” the boy asked curiously
Sarah: “Uh yea, sure” Sarah answered a bit surprised by his question “But they had that annoying thing” she continued, pointing towards the nullifier “So my ability to fight was kinda rendered moot” she finished her explanation with a dejected expression.
The boy walked towards where she was pointing, reaching his destination he crouched down and picked up the nullifier.
Boy: “A nullifier huh? He said “although a really shitty and cheap one” he squeezed the object in his hand and… shattered it into tiny pieces?
Upon its destruction Sarah could feel her magical abilities return to her, “ww-wow” she stammered “you must be strong to break it so easily” she asked the boy.
Boy: “Huh? Oh, like I said it was cheap” the boy explained.
Sarah was certain that he was just being humble, nullifiers are usually made from stone, even cheap one's would be hard to break with just your hand.
Observing the boy in the dark alley she couldn’t make out much of him, his hair appeared to be a raven black colour with a much lighter colour mixed in at random spots, she guessed white or light grey, his face was completely covered by the shadow of the buildings so she couldn’t make out any intricate details besides his general facial structure, he seemed handsome though.
Sarah: -Seriously, why is it so dark in this alley? It’s around 8:20 so it’s quite bright- She thought, annoyed by her inability to make out the boy's details.
Sarah: “Hey what’s your na-?!” Sarah had attempted to ask for the boy’s name but he suddenly smacked himself on his forehead with his palm with a loud “oh!”
Boy: “Sorry I really have to go, I was already in a rush before this happened!” The boy exclaimed, his face washing over with panic “can I leave you to sort these guys out?” he asked.
Sarah: “What?! What do you want me to do?”
Boy: “Call the police and explain what happened, Isn’t that the obvious thing to do?” The girl stared at him, he was right, that was the obvious thing to do in a situation like this, but then she would be late for school and she really also didn’t want to spend time explaining things to the police. But the boy said he was in a rush and he had saved her… -fine-, she thought and she agreed to the boy's request.
Boy: “Thanks! And sorry!” The boy expressed his apologies and his thanks as he turned around and ran out of the alley. Sarah stared at where the boy had left from before pulling out her phone and checking the time 8:32 Am, this whole ordeal had roughly wasted 12 minutes of her time, school starts at 9, she really didn’t want to be late on the first day, sighing, she navigated through her phone and called emergency services.
He felt bad about leaving the girl with the unconscious men, really he did, but he was pressed for time enough and waiting around for the police and explaining what happened would simply take too much time, plus he really didn’t want any attention, so he entrusted the situation to the girl.
Boy: “Should I have gotten her name?” the boy asked nobody in particular “I doubt I’ll see her again so it doesn't matter” the boy decided. Checking his phone the boy noted the time 8:35, after carefully thinking about that for a moment the boy realised that he only had 25 minutes left until he needed to be at school.
-crap! I still gotta get these stickers to Suzie-. The boy reached into his left pocket and pulled out his sister’s ‘friendship’ stickers. She had lost her original packet and had begged her brother to rush to the store to get new ones.

-then I gotta get her to school as well-, she and him were both starting at Solarius today and like most academies the school includes grades 1-13, so dropping her off wouldn’t be a massive detriment to him, considering his classroom would be in the same general area as well, but still he needs to get ready for school himself, so the amount of time he would have to get to his class would be… not a lot, he didn’t want to be late on his first day after all. Deciding against being late the boy started running faster, his house was roughly 20 minutes away from where he was currently, and around 33 minutes from Solarius, but he was really fast, fast enough to turn that 20 minutes into 13, that's assuming he stayed on the street though, pushing off the ground the boy leapt upwards about 6 stories onto the ledge of a window on the nearest building, leaping off of that ledge he rose above the building on the opposite side of the street and promptly landed on the roof of the building, upon touching down the boy sprinted across the roof and jumped off of it and onto the next closest roof, repeating this every time he ran out of room on the current roof the boy jumped upwards and downwards onto roofs until he no longer needed too. falling onto the sidewalk, and startling a few people walking their dogs, he continued to run until he reached his street, the boy pulled out his phone to check the time, 8:41.
“Hm, well I guess that’s fair, I wish I was a little faster though” the boy spoke to himself. Spotting his house a little ways down the street he dashed towards it, he really couldn’t afford to be wasting time as he had less than 20 minutes, opening the front door he rushed into his house.
Boy: “Oi Suzie!” The boy yelled, “I got your stickers”
“Click” the door to the room down the corridor opened and a cute little girl with purple hair emerged from within.
Suzie: “Hello!” the girl excitedly said, rushing towards her brother and glomping onto his left leg.
Boy: “Got your stickers” the boy once again revealed as he reached into his pocket and pulled out a packet of stickers, there were various shapes and sizes, some were cute animals, some were smiley faces and other expressions, some were just random words.
Suzie: “Oooh! Thank you!” she said with a bright smile, seeing that she seemed happy with his choice he softly smiled and ruffled her head.
Boy: “Well good thing you’re all ready for school” he said admiring her uniform, it was a black dress with a bright red blazer, there were various other details as well such as pockets and pretty designs to make it more likeable to the young children. She had done her hair in a simple ponytail so nothing fancy but it still looked cute on her.
Boy: “wow, You look very cute, I’m glad you figured out how to put your hair into a ponytail as well” the boy said praising the girl, Suzie blushed slightly and beamed her biggest smile.
Boy: “Finish up everything you have left quick, I gotta get ready and then we need to go”
Suzie: “Yes!” she responded eagerly
Dashing into his room the boy pulled off his exercise clothes and pulled out his school clothes from the closet, he didn’t wear his school clothes to the store in case he got them dirty and gross while getting the stickers for Suzie, He pulled on and buttoned his white shirt, once he had confirmed he was wearing the shirt correctly he reached for his black school pants and swiftly put them on, slipping his belt through the waistband to ensure the pants stay up, it would be embarrassing if they slipped off at some point. After finishing with his pants he reached for the black school jacket. The jacket had two pockets and on the front on the right side it had the school logo printed on the pocket, the logo detailed a circle with a sword crossed through it, with a ring surrounding the sword and circle. slipping on the jacket the boy examined himself in the mirror, his black hair was sorta long with his bangs reaching past his eyebrows, not enough to hinder his vision, his bangs were bright white down to the roots and they parted in the middle revealing his forehead slightly so his face resembled a curtain of sorts, besides his bangs he also had a large streak of white running through his hair on the right side of his head. He had a scar underneath the center of his right eye leading downwards, stopping just past the bottom of his nose. His sapphire blue eyes had dark bags underneath them but that was pretty common for him, Brushing his bangs back in an attempt to reposition them and failing the boy scoffed in dissatisfaction and grabbed his dark green school tie instead, he placed it around his neck and tied it, it was difficult to put on since it interfered with his necklace and he also wasn’t great at tying it yet but he managed to tie it well enough to look presentable.
Suzie: “Xarussss!” Suzie called “I’m all readyyyyy!” the girl sang.
Xarus: “Yep! Coming!” Xarus called back grabbing his blue bag and exiting his room, Suzie was patiently waiting with her stuff in the corridor, she held out her hand expectantly and Xarus gently grabbed it walking by her side.
Xarus: -I wish I had time to shower but it should be fine-, he thought, he wasn’t sweaty and he didn’t stink even after all that running, but still it would have been a nice way to refresh and wake himself up.
Suzie: “Bye mommy!” Suzie yelled
Xarus: “Mum had to go into work earlier today so she's not here,” Xarus explained
Suzie: “Ah” She responded
Exiting through the door and locking it behind them Xarus checked the time again, 8:47, he frowned, he knew he wouldn’t have much time left but still the amount annoyed him.
Xarus: “Hey suzie?” he asked
Suzie: “Yea?”
Xarus: “We’re gonna be late”
Suzie: “NO!” she screamed, despair washing over her, her eyes began tearing up
Xarus: “Hm, well I'll have to run really fast to make it on time, ok?”
Suzie: “OKAY!” she yelled with renewed hope and sparkles in her eyes
Turning to face her, Xarus could see she was already waiting with her hands raised up, crouching down and taking her into his arms he held her close to his chest while she wrapped her arms around his neck. Carrying her princess style, he confirmed she was secure in his arms and that she was ready and then he sprinted off towards Solarius, he was more careful then he was before now that he had Suzie with him but not so much that it would cost them any time, in fact he was running at a faster pace then when he ran home. Suzie giggled and screamed as they leapt and fell, she seemed to be enjoying herself quite a bit as they sped across the rooftops, eventually they made it to Solarius and Xarus had managed to get Suzie to her class by 8:58. Waving his sister off, Xarus left the classroom, Suzie was clearly nervous but seemed excited to make friends, after all the effort he put in this morning he hoped she would use the stickers wisely, while pondering this Xarus came to a realisation.
Xarus: “Wait… Where's my classroom?”
After locating and navigating to the school reception he eventually made his way to his classroom and he ended up arriving at 9:07, so he had unfortunately ended up being seven minutes late on his first day of school, it wasn’t a massive detriment but he suspected it left a bad first impression.
