The dazzling cold of the wall hugged my back as the clenched fist rose again.
Vision blurring at every movement in sight as my entire body refused to know where it was a few seconds ago. With every moment potentially being my last, I hurried onto the steps, yet the numbness blocked my sense of space, refusing to tell me where my feet were as I fell to the grasp of the attacker.
Their eyes locked onto me as they crashed the rising fist, slamming down the wooden stairs. Splitters rushed towards all directions, their sharp edges pierced through my flesh as I extended my hand.
My fingers wrapped around their legs before swiftly putting them off balance. Of course, he cushioned his fall by pressing against the floor, however it wasn’t my intent. Taking advantage of the leeway granted by the grab, the wooden stairs below my sole burst into gas, darting me through the stairways as I reached out to the third floor.
Pieces of wood flew in my direction, impaling my back. Fortunately, the effect of their attack or at the very least the pain was negated by my numbness of the body.
I held onto the wall with the angered heavy steps of the attacker closely following me.
Without time to be amazed at the musician instruments that flooded the third floor, my legs dashed to the nearest cover I could find, from the strike to my skull earlier it was clear that physical attacks were his main strength. His Versile remained a mystery that was a must to solve.
The piano granted enough cover for their attack to not be instantly lethal, and anything that was large enough to cover me was too far away.
Whatever it was, the correct one was up to fate.
Sprinting into the floor, he smiled as he locked eyes with me. No time wasted, he lunged himself onto me as I pulled the piano upward, the instrument burst into multiple pieces as his fist ripped through the piano.
My eyes widened in shock at my only cover being destroyed in an instant. The metallic material of the instrument pierced through their skins as they shook the piano in an attempt to free themselves.
Making good use of him being stuck, I dashed towards another instrument. A dazzling view of a clean floor devoid of any dust or instruments greeted my eyes. Disappearing into thin air, as if it never existed in the first place, replaced by multiple shadows of the instruments.
Without a break in motion, I looked up. The instruments? They were all floating in the air, carried by a mysterious force invisible to the naked eye.
The alarming noise of an object being ripped to pieces jolted me awake, instantly reminding of the little time I had. Without a plan nor any choices that matter at the current moment, my hands bolted towards my pocket before swiftly pulling out a metallic firearm in one motion.
Eyes focused onto a single point in my now almost unseeable vision that flooded with black spots, fingers ready to snap at the slightest needle drop. Dusts spreading themselves from the ceiling covering the floor lost all focus.
My fingers snapped at the sight of him lunging at me, shades of red sprayed the floor. The vibrant colors absorbed by the particles dropping to the floor as I grinned.

As quickly as my grin formed, it ran out like a candle on a stormy day. The colors of red vanished without a trace and before my eyes was the fine body of a man unlike what I had seen previously. There was no brain matter that scattered across the tiles nor was there anybody on the ground bleeding from their brain.
The first boom was from the gun firing off, and the second…was the sound of him clashing with the bullet, bursting it into multiple pieces, zooming across the room as his fist absorbed all of the impact.
A punch strong enough to shatter bullets took quite the force. Witnessing the feat I had only imagined existed in fiction, I braced myself for another lunge that seemed inevitable.
Bullet shards fell to the floor as he rubbed his fist, his eyes staring deeply - as if estimating each and every move exactly to the second. I backed up as his legs crossed the imaginary barrier of safety, slowly inching towards me as my eyes fixed on every movement I could capture.
And…
Without a second in between, he fell to the ground. Left completely dumbfounded, with wounds all over my body, I did not hesitate to wait any longer as I rushed towards the fourth floor, taking advantage of the unexpected situation that was him.
“Ughh.”
The distance between the fourth floor closed more rapidly, a grunt echoed throughout the dust from the ceilings.
It was clear to me from the very beginning that running would certainly bring death upon me, the strikes were too strong for me to tank more than once, the speed at which the strike came was incredible, and most importantly my body was slowly starting to give up due to the strike to my head.
Yet, there wasn't anything else I could do, my worn out breaths only exhausted me more than it generated, with my entire body only growing more numb than it already was. Whether I liked it or not, I had to improvise.
The floor carried my steps as I looked back, they were already up by the fifth second they dropped and significantly negating the distance advantage I had.
Without any further delays, my mind raced to the Versile he had.
“Insane burst power, Insane speed, the fall from earlier isn’t me getting lucky, he pauses for a bit before attacking and after attacking...” I mumbled under my breath as I listed every possible Versile and variants.
Removing each type of power one by one, I steadily moved closer to one that became more and more possible.
“Charge up?” The tone of these words voiced uncertain, and I was, without a doubt, uncertain at the guess as I skipped several steps on the stairs.
Despite this, there wasn't any time left for me to decide. He was already drawing closer, and all of my thinking power had to be converted into reactions and reflexes.
Veins protruding through his fist as he reached higher than before, crashing down as he barely missed. Tiny cracks crawled into the wood, growing bigger than ever before spreading through the stairs to the very foundation, threatening to collapse at any moment.
I didn’t dare to look behind me nor did I want to know how far he was. An agonizing pain traveling throughout my legs and my head, stunned my movement for a brief second.
He grinned as he charged up his fist, slamming my body against the wall. The side of the body that slammed the wall instantly numbed, no feeling no pain whatsoever.
Snapping out of my brief state, my legs violently hit the floor as debris launched into the air in response before I stormed into the fourth floor, making use of the delay they had after attacking.
?
I stared at the objects that glistered with lights beyond my expectations.
The freezing cold of the room crawled into my spine as it floated off the ground, vibrating without a sight of ending. The yellow I didn’t know existed and the smoothness I thought impossible presented itself in front of me, floating like the majestic objects they were.
In the spotlight of the middle, stood a scale. Metallic objects that shined with radiance circled the justice scale. Orbiting their home, with no end in sight as well.
My mind amazed by the creation and without a doubt, my body forcefully leaped onto the justice scale. The faint floor creaking behind, turned my head around as he raised his fist midair. The heat of his breath, noticeable as he leaped into the air with me.
Seeing him I braced for the ground as I extended my hands below, unintentionally pressing down on the scale.
…
The world turned dark.
