Kharg was meant to inherit caravans, contracts, and a seat at his father’s table. Magic was never part of the plan. As the son of a powerful merchant lord, his future seemed settled from birth. Kharg disagreed. Drawn to elemental magic and spellcraft, he follows that pull northward and makes the first choice his father cannot undo. Among the tribes of the frozen lands, he stays behind for a year and learns a kind of magic no southern academy would recognize—shamanism rooted in spirits, beasts, and forces far older than written spells. When Kharg finally returns south, he does not return unchanged. Seeking answers, he travels to Varakar and enrolls at its great Academy, hoping to reconcile what he has learned with formal magic. But study is expensive, and ideals do not pay tuition. When his coin runs out, Kharg joins the Adventurers’ Guild, trading books for blades, contracts, and hard-earned survival. As Kharg grows in power and understanding, shadows stir across the world. A vast and ancient devil plots beyond mortal sight, its designs reaching across kingdoms, faiths, and planes. What begins as one young man’s struggle for identity slowly entangles him in a conflict that threatens far more than his future. Kharg’s Tale is a story of slow-earned power, cultural collision, and the cost of magic—where growth is measured in months and years, not moments, and every gain leaves its mark. What to Expect: Slow, methodical progression Deep magic systems with internal logic Shamanism, elemental magic, and spirit bonds Cultural immersion and worldbuilding Character-driven growth over time A long-form, escalating threat What This Is Not: No instant power-ups No rapid leveling or stat sheets No rushed character arcs PS: Book One is complete. Book Two begins Monday. Chapters are posted three times per week.
